Out and about over lunchtime so a cheese salad sandwich from a charity cafe for lunch. Made prawn egg fried rice tonight which used up the end of a red pepper, baby sweetcorn and sugar snap peas.

It is sunny here, but I don't know how warm it is outside. I have had a yoghurt and some protein water.
I have woken up with neck pain, but I am going out to lunch, to a book group and to a Soundbath so I will have to take some painkillers.

Good afternoon everyone,
Hope the neck pain eases Wednesday.
Thanks for the congrats Brambling, yeah it's been a spendy year on clothes so far but yes it's a good feeling. I'm hoping that apart from a pair of linen trousers and skirt what I have now will see me through until Autumn and beyond, though I have my eye on a M&S car coat to replace the one I'm passing on! It's my birthday next month so maybe get it then.
Just scaping into double figures here, it's dry so far but like yesterday rain is due this afternoon. It's didn't half rain yesterday when it did arrive so covered deck or no, no potting on was done. Tesco are due later but apart from that I'll see what the day brings. I've ordered this book to try and jazz up our veg dishes High Fibre Heroes: How to turn 12 everyday vegetables into 100 joyful, health-boosting recipes eBook : Fearnley-Whittingstall, Hugh: Amazon.co.uk: Kindle Store and it's due for delivery today. Depending when it arrives dinner tonight may be from it otherwise it will be JO's fish pie soup from the freezer or griddled chicken salad. The pork I defrosted I chunked it and had it with a creamy, Cajun spiced mushroom and spinach sauce. With the cauli and broccoli rice it was lovely and there's LO's for lunch.

We’ve just scrapped into double figures here too and rain due this afternoon. Caught up on a few domestic chores this morning and food prep for some cooking this afternoon.
I’ve defrosted a chicken breast and there’s half a red pepper to use up so I’m thinking of making a sauce to have with some pasta tomorrow and a portion to put in the freezer too.
Duck breast is defrosting at the moment, there’s some cherries in the freezer and the last miniature of port from the Christmas pack, so that’s dinner sorted I’ll have it with some jersey royals and asparagus.

Bit mixed weather here this morning and early afternoon but took the risk of putting bedding out on the line when I got back from swimming at lunchtime. Had stripped bed, dusted and hoovered plus wiped the bathroom round before swimming.
Beans with toast for lunch then out to do a grocery shop after remaking the bed.It turned into a beautiful afternoon so bedding plus swimming stuff dried perfectly. I pottered in the garden for a bit then sat in the sun with a cuppa and my book 😊
Creamy chicken, leek and bean traybake with olive bread roll and rocket salad tonight. There’s LO creamy leeks and beans and LO chicken thighs.

I was feeling so rough yesterday. I had a hot bath and got into bed after I got home from the Soundbath.
I have a class today and then a meet-up so I'm glad I feel better for that. I have had a banana and a yoghurt as I'm eating out for lunch.

Sunny but looks like rain, one of those "take a brolly" days, it tipped down overnight
Mixed day today, I;m taking friend to hospital appointment, not serous but having eye drops, so not allowed to drive themselves afterwards. Going to involve a lot of waiting around despite having an appointment, last time it seemed to be shuffling between various departments, you know the sort, answer questions here, then blood pressure there, and round & round you go
Passed over the order from Ocado, when I looked more closely there are added charges for "small basket" which is under about £75, I'd just be spending to make up a total to avoid extra costs, daft. So I'll stick with Asda / Waitrose on line for now
Lunch, nuke a frozen YS RM macaroni cheese
Dinner, because of hospital driving, has to be an easy frozen RM tonight

Good morning everyone,
Hope the waiting around isn't too tedious Farway.
Overcast and showery here though a (very) little milder. New book arrived but too late to use last night, I've had a flick through and there are some very appealing recipes. Dinner was the planned JO fish pie soup from the freezer with an added boiled egg and some toasted pitta. Domestic bits and some voluntary admin on the the 'to do' today. I also need to look a savings shuffle as a coup of my fixed term ones will end soon. The freezer soup stocks are depleted so need to look at restocking too this week. Fridge gravel salad for lunch. Ham & green pepper omelette for dinner with Jersey Royals and salad.

Lovely sunny day here and it does feel slightly warmer. I took the bus to the next town as I needed argos for a cheap watch, lidl for some greek beans and spicy salami and tesco for a f&v top up.
Lunch is a salad with spicy salami and crusty bread.
Dinner is the chicken and red pepper pasta sauce I made yesterday, I’ll add some extra veg to it and decisions, decisions what type of pasta to use? 🤔
