    Good morning everyone,

Dry but cold here, just 8C just now. Seedlings remain unpotted on, probably won't happen today either as I have some other "to dos" to get out of the way.

Rotisserie chicken was yummy, chicken salad for lunch. I made some of JO's red chimichurri to go with it which worked really well and there's plenty LO of that as well. M&S crustless quiche from the freezer for dinner with Jersey Royals and various veg.

Very chilly up here too, after my shower I opened the window to air the flat and the heating came on, for the first time in weeks. I put some washing out because there was a good breeze blowing and was pleasantly surprised how quickly it dried.

Another issue to sort out with a communications company, nothing is ever simple and that's two hours of my life I’ll never get back.

Soup from the freezer for lunch, although amount of portions is getting low and if this cold spell lasts I’ll need to make some more.

Dinner is turkey schnitzel, mashed pots and air fried asparagus.

Gosh, there’s not been much CFOing over here for a while. Hopefully a more normal week although I did get lunch at work today 🙃

Salmon with creamy leeks, new potatoes and tenderstem tonight.

it rained until about 4pm today and was a definite drop in temperature as well, I was determined not to put my heating on, my fault for putting a tee shirt on.

Visited EF this afternoon and heard her list of complaints and was given a list of to dos! She overrode my request for 'no tea thank you' and insisted they got me a cup which I'm too polite not to drink the milky tepid blew they provide, she turned down the biscuits that were also offered, weight comments were made 🙄 I told her it was stress induced from herself!

Not really salad weather but I had some bits which needed using up so a picky bits lunch.

I went into Waitrose for some milk and eggs using vouchers and picked up some YS breaded chicken breast tenders which were really tasty and very moist chicken just had them with sweet potato chips and veg

    Good morning everyone,

Cold and wet here. I braved yesterday's chill to pot on the seedlings as it looks like rainy days on the cards for the next few days. Despite layers and it not taking long I was chilled when I came back in and very tempted to pop the heating but resisted and had a mug of Bovril instead! There's more seedlings to do but they are still okay in their starter pots for the time being. Started to tackle a voluntary admin tricky task and think I might have wasted a few hours! I've decided it needs running by the committee before I waste any more time……

Despite the less than Spring like weather lunch will be a picky plate as there are various LOs and salad bits to use up. Back to sunshine, but chilly enough for my heating to come on this morning, and TBH I was glad it had!.

Waitrose delivery arrive OK, subbed posh spuds in place of the cheaper, bent, ones I ordered😊Fridge is full again.

The runners I planted out are still there, I was crossed fingers we escaped frost

Lunch, a full fridge and I'm spoilt for choice now. Lamb burger is very tempting

Dinner, breaded fresh Cod fillet & AF frozen chips + peas

It feels slightly warmer here today but perhaps that's just because the sun is shining, there is the odd light shower although supposed to clear after lunchtime.

No Caronc I’ve never used the binder, I’m an old fashioned pen & paper kinda gal 😁 I browse the recipes, note the name for future ref, try it out and if I really love it I’ll print and keep in a folder. I also pick up tesco’s free magazine when in store which is great for seasonal recipes.

Just a lettuce and tomato sandwich for lunch as there is tea and cake at the bowling club this afternoon.

Instead of mashed potatoes last night I just boiled them and made a czech potato salad to go with the schnitzel, there is some leftover which I’ll have with a salmon fillet for dinner tonight.

Sunshine and showers here today, the load on the line got a small extra rinse but has come in dry.

Nipped to M&S at lunchtime for eggs and fresh bread so poached eggs and mushrooms on toast for lunch. Swimming after work and have just made prawn Thai red curry with baby corn, sugar snap peas and noodles.

warmer today and dry 🙂 but still a nip in the air. Filled the garden bin from the back garden, brambles are still taking over and I have a couple of self seeded hawthorns or blackthorns trying to tackle those which are both in flower made me wheeze. I have left a barrow full of stuff as well hopefully the bin will drop enough to add it by Friday. Everything seemed to have thorns or pickles.i was supervised by this lordship especially when clearing the weeds from behind the fence which backs onto the garages.

My old wooden garden table which has been used for repotting the last couple of years has given up, I broke some of it up ready for the trip but I'll have to bring out the saw to finish, a job for when I don't need a inhaler!

Small tomato and cheese pizza AF for lunch. Chilli and rice for dinner
