    Good morning everyone,

Dry but overcast and chilly here, it is only just to reach double figures this afternoon. Yesterday I did manage to spend an hour in the garden suitably wrapped up and my herb pots are looking much tidier and perkier after a good trim, feed and water. An hour was long enough though as my hands were freezing and took ages to warm up when I came back indoors. I'll see how the day goes but might make a start on potting on some of my more advanced tom and cue seedlings.

Lunch will be egg or cottage cheese salad with a mug of the soup I made on Sunday. JO's Golden Crispy chicken Jamie Oliver’s Crispy Golden Chicken Is Perfect for a Weeknight Dinner – Tamron Hall Show which I'm really looking forward to, it must be well over a year if not nearer two since I made it. We'll have it with Jersey Royals, asparagus and salad.

Mostly overcast and cooler here today but dry, load of washing mostly dry on the line 🙃

Another full on work day that flew by but I did take a proper lunch break for a change. Feta, olive and LO roast sweet potato salad with a part baked olive ciabatta roll for lunch. Sweet chilli peanut noodles tonight with the end of the LO roast chicken, red pepper and green beans, was yummy 😋

Late to the party today but caught up on some admin and domestic chores this morning.

The local bowling green has opened for the summer season and after giving it up years ago because of back problems I decided it was time to try playing again before my knees and hips start to give out, so had my first game in years this afternoon 😉

Lunch - Feta and watermelon salad.

Dinner - Chilli con carne with rice and salsa.

checked the price of the compost I needed and went to the garden centre a little further away than the one around the corner 🙂 I pottered around the garden centre whilst there but wasn't tempted with anything else.

Ham and cheese roll for lunch.

Dinner was prawn and avocado salad with new potatoes

Lovely long telephone conversation with eldest sister after dinner

    Good morning everyone,

Dry but overcast and chilly. I had to pop the heating on again before I had my shower as the bathroom was unpleasantly cold. Ended up not doing more in the garden yesterday it was just too chilly for my temperature sensitive hands to keep the dexterity needed to pot on fragile seedlings!

Very much looking forward to this evening when I'm heading to DS1's to give DGD her bath. 😍 Indian takeaway is planned for dinner afterwards. Fridge gravel and a mug of soup for lunch.

Chilly but sun's out, another deceptive day

Into Mark's first thing, needed some salad bits plus a YS mooch. Luck was in YS celery 😁, plus some YS pork mince & couple of YS MFO RMs to go in freezer

Lunch, use some YS mince for HM burger, using a YS bun

Dinner, YS MFO RM Butter chicken

I'll make burgers & freeze rest of YS mince

It is colder than it looks out there! I am going to the cinema so I am taking my jacket and my scarf. I had a yoghurt and a slice of bread with Flora and a cup of hot chocolate.

I am eating out for lunch so I didn't want to eat too much.

Thats a very good YS haul Farway I’m quite envious. Have a lovely bathtime Caronc she will be at the age that’s she’s starting to enjoy them.

I’m feeling a bit achy today after my bowling jaunt and a slight twinge in my back, I'm hoping it’s only my body reminding me it hasn’t done this for a while and will get used to it.

There was water running from an overflow pipe when I went out this morning, when I came back at lunchtime it was down to a trickle and now that I’m waiting for a plumber to arrive it appears to have stopped

Anyway, lunch was the last of the feta and watermelon salad and I’ve defrosted some of my easter offer lamb for tonight and think I might put it in a cheats curry sauce (Tesco’s finest Goan inspired) 😜

I hope you didn't get too wet Caronc 😁 I had baby cuddles this evening although he is only just 6 months he's in 9-12mth clothes and almost too long for them already. He's not going to be as dainty as his sister! And heavy to carry.

I popped into town today to collect a M&S order for EF and wandered around for a couple of hours. I treated myself with a warm cinnamon bun from the Swedish cafe 😋 walking back to the car, home via the Range for a new watering can.

Lunch was the Swedish cinnamon roll. Birthday dinner tonight at my sisters' with the local family and family friends, followed by a fatless sponge with cream and strawberries 😋🍰 my friend makes fabulous cakes. Now my hip is fixed I was expected to build a railway track, it was considered below expectations and uncle had to make improvements when he got home from work. Little one chose my card, it was a 90th birthday one as she liked the card!!

Cool again, needs to warm up so i can get my runners out

Little one chose my card, it was a 90th birthday one as she liked the card!! You got off lightly, one year I got a "How to Live with your Colostomy" book, a case of really judging a book by it's cover🤣

Lunch, another YS pork mice burger

Dinner, TBD, I need to use up the YS pork mince, but don't really fancy the ubiquitous "savoury mince" or "meat loaf" options, could finish up as burgers, eggs & chips
