Thanks everyone, nothing worse and it really floored me. Anyway, all better 😊
Very rainy here overnight and all morning but I had a domestic catch up planned anyway so bed changed, bedroom dusted and hoovered, bathroom cleaned, stairs hoovered, kitchen and bathroom floors mopped. Then I had a sit down 😅
Beans with toast for lunch then out to do a small grocery shop. Little bit of ironing this afternoon but mostly reading and a bit of catch up tv.
Paprika and rosemary chicken thigh, sweet potato and onion traybake tonight with green salad. LO chicken to appear in next couple of days.

Ocardo had offered me another 25% off voucher if I spent £70 (no alcohol or household items) so I managed with some store cupboard staples and adding SO cereal for my sister to take it to £70.51. A couple of items not delivered meant I paid just under £55. Nothing urgent in the non delivered, a treat which shouldn't have been add 🫣 and mozzarella although I'm surprised there was no substitute for that. Fridge is now full 🙂
I visited EF this afternoon I decided to keep tomorrow for me! At least the lift is now working in the home so she can go downstairs if she wants even if is just to complain.
Early lunch of cheese on toast with tomato.
Copying Farway thick pork chop for dinner, cba to do a roast so had it with jersey royals and salad

Dull & much cooler this morning, supposed to get colder again by mid week, so grand plan of planting out my Runner beans is on hold for a few days
Ex Waitrose 2024 Christmas salmon offer fillet out to defrost. I would have used them last year but they went MA in the freezer and only turned up the other week
Lunch, Cheese salad sarnie
Dinner, pan fried salmon fillet, with jacket spud & salad bits

I had yoghurt, nectarines and a hot drink. It feels cooler today. It is probably warmer outside. I’m waiting in for an Amazon delivery.
I didn’t finish off all the marmalade so I will today with toasted muffins.
I will see what else needs using up. I just chopped up bananas to freeze for smoothies.

Good morning everyone,
Sunny and bright but decidedly chilly and not forecast to warm up much this afternoon. I plan to do a bit in the garden so layers will be needed.
Forgot to mention yesterday that the cauliflower rice patties worked well. Softer than the potato version but I froze them for an hour before baking and they held together well. I just added a couple of teaspoons of potato flour and around 1tbsp of parmesan to the LO cauli rice and it made 4 good sized patties that tasted really nice. We used two so there's a couple in the freezer for another meal.
I'm not a natural seamstress but after watching videos I managed to take in the waistband of a too big pair of jeans. I've only had them since January and wanted a bit more wear out of them. They are very loose around the hips but a least they are staying up now so fine for every day wear for a bit longer. I'll undo the alterations before they get passed on.
Soup and grilled chicken for lunch, I made a pot of mushroom, celery, leek and parsley yesterday to use up lurking bits. Omelette, salad and potato & veg chips for dinner.

Overcast with sunny intervals here, I went for a walk first thing then caught up on some domestic chores.
Last of the cooked chicken was used up with some salad in a sub roll for lunch.
I thought I was defrosting a small tub of pasta sauce but turned out to be curry sauce instead. So change of idea for tonight - I’ll air fry the last of the cauli and put it in the sauce with a handful of cooked chickpeas that I have in the freezer and add some peas and pomegranate for a bit of colour too.

Outing with family today so a bought sandwich for lunch. One of the LO roast chicken thighs in pesto pasta with green beans and LO roast onion tonight. Just had the fruit pot from my lunch meal deal 😊

I was going to go to garden centre for some compost but decided it may be busy and could wait until tomorrow, a advantage of retirement 😁
It's been a lazy day I woke up tired and my quick nap this after was two hours 😴 so I'm even more out of sorts, with the tiredness came the loud tinnitus. Annual blood test due this month so I'll see if my thyroid meds need adjusting.
Cheese and grated carrot for lunch.
I thought I had taken out some freezer burnt chicken thighs from the bottom of the freezer but they were thigh fillets, cba to cook much so made fried chicken in the AF, chipped some LO new potatoes and opened a tin of sweetcorn for a lazy dinner

I just had a yoghurt with some water. I have an appointment that is quite far from me today so I need to order a taxi to get there. I am going to have some melon and a toasted English muffin with peanut butter before I leave. It says there is 0% chance of rain while I'm out.

Dull, breezy & cooler. Some more rain would be nice for the garden
I've taken an April 2025 pork loin fillet out to defrost for dinner, another of my "finds" from the hidden areas of the freezer
Lunch, cheese & sliced onion sandwich
Dinner, the grilled pork loin, Nuked LO mash, LO carrots and some frozen mixed veg
May also pick & stew some rhubarb from the garden
