Popped into Morries first thing, mainly needed to post some letters and it's a convenient post box, however there were some YS offers, butter chicken & head of broccoli, plus juicy looking pork chops for the weekend. Seeing N2B post about Jerseys reminds me, too late, I meant to check for them while in Morries.
Lunch, grilled cheese on toast + pickle
Dinner, one of the YS MFO Butter Chickens

I had to be diplomatic Wednesday, so said at her age (81) she should focus more on comfort and what best meets her needs rather than the cost. Frankly I think her son would keel over if he knew the amount I’m budgeting for mine 🤐
Another nice sunny day but there is still that icy wind coming off the sea, I had a quick walk through town this morning and once I catch up on some chores I’ll go for a longer walk to get my step count up.
Lunch is soup from the freezer and tonight there’s deli ham to use up so will have it with salad and some jersey royals.

Good morning,
It's a glorious day here and quite warm too. Shame the good spell is due to break tomorrow!
All three pooches here today and they are all snoozing in the sunshine, I intend to do what I have to do and then enjoy it too. 😁
The LO pasta which I'll turn into pasta salad for lunch. Trying this tonight Spicy roasted carrot, kale and coconut dhal I'll make the full amount of dhal as spare will freeze but reduce the carrots and kale a bit. I'll roast the veg in the AF.

I went into town this morning for a haircut and a natter with my hairdresser. I parked in Waitrose as it's cheaper (free if you spend £10) I had 50p off vouchers so did go in for milk and eggs and jersey royals 😁 so had to pay for the parking, it was a lovely day to wander in town
Tuna mayo salad for lunch.
I made ratatouille for dinner and sat a small feta block in half of it half way through cooking 😋 a large bowl served for dinner with the feta stirred through

I just had some sparkling water and a banana yoghurt. I have two classes today, but luckily they are both very close to my house as it looks quite hot today and I didn't want to walk around all over the place!
I am going to have a toasted English muffin with peanut butter before I leave and take some fresh fruit out with me.
I got a Tesco delivery yesterday and feel like having a "picky plate" later. I have some sourdough bread, salad stuff, vegan "ham" slices I haven't tried before, sundried tomatoes, gherkins etc… I roasted some wrinkly tomatoes yesterday and I am going to make patatas bravas later with the last of my potatoes.

Good morning everyone,
I woke to the sound of rain. I gone off now but the sky is very overcast and heavy.
Last night's dhal dish was a mixed bag - the roasted carrot and kale topping is a definite keeper but the dhal was rather underwhelming and need a good amount tweaking to get a tasty dish. I'm not sure where it would serve 4 either unless it's a family with a couple of small children. We had modest portions as I had made sides and there is only a small portion LO. Big win of the meal was a flavoured cauli "rice" I made which I think has converted DS2. Just as well as there's a good bit LO and I'm not sure it would freeze very well.
Domestic bits and a pile of voluntary admin are my to do today and Tesco are due later. LOs/fridge gravel for lunch. Dinner is usual Friday tbc but will probably involve either chicken or salmon.

Leek and potato soup for lunch today. Very nice and I have 2 portions left. Air fryer sausages with mash and cabbage for dinner tonight.

Beautiful sunny day here and although there is still a bit of a breeze the temp has certainly picked up a bit. At last I’ve got the windows at the front and back open at the same time - loving the flow of air through the flat and the sound of the waves on the shingle coming in the window.
Met up with a friend for coffee in the City, the usual mooch around m&s foodhall was had for ys items, I got some hummus to have for my lunch and a king prawn bhuna for tonight, but I really need to curtail my impulse buys as I did blow the budget a bit in April.
I’m quite partial to cauli rice too Caronc and although there is some cauli that needs using I’m leaning towards the ys jewelled basmati rice that I have in the freezer from my last m&s mooch 😀
