    Cooler, but still sunny

Finalising my Asda order for next week's delivery, usual items although I sometimes deviate if an offer too good to miss appears, mind decent offers are rare, and on line & in stock is really pushing it

Lunch, another BLT. The marks YS streaky really knocks spots off other SMs, crisps up beautifully

Dinner, yesterdays lamb moussaka, never defrosted in time for yesterday dinner, so try again today

It was hot in the sun and cold in the shade yesterday, very confusing as I walked home from my class.

I was going to go out today, but I feel tired so I'm just staying at home for the day. I just had bread with Flora and Vegemite and a hot drink.

I went through the freezer and I have some frozen food I had forgotten about. I ordered some pitta bread in my Ocado delivery so I am going to make vegan kebabs tonight with the frozen kebab "meat" and I have lettuce, cucumber, tomato and chili sauce to go in the pitta.

I don't know about lunch. I will see what I have in the fridge.

    Good morning everyone,

Another bright day with a very chilly start though it's warming up a bit now. I'm still needing the heating on for an hour in the morning but the stove is enough in the evening.

Lots to do today as the family are here for lunch tomorrow for my DIL's birthday she has requested glazed ham, quiche and salads. As a surprise I'm also making her favourite coronation chicken. Gammon joint has been soaked overnight and is now in the slow cooker so it's cooked ready for a quick glaze either this evening or tomorrow. DS2 is going to nip to M&S to pick up a couple of quiches and some antipasto but I'll make the rest from scratch.

Fridge bits for lunch and I'm trying this Chicken Crust Pizza Recipe for High Protein Meals | Andy's East Coast Kitchen which we'll have with salad.

Nice sunny morning although starting to cloud over now, there is still a chilly breeze keeping the “feels like” temp quite low here.

I like the sound of your pizza Caronc, I think Nigella did something similar with meat but I never got around to trying it out, will definitely make a note to self.

Lunch was a prawn mayo and salad roll.

A bit of a use-up of odds and ends tonight - I have a chunk of uncooked pastry in the freezer its leftover from the last quiche I made, there’s a small amount of cheese sauce leftover from last night so I thought I would cook some bacon and leek, mix them in the sauce and make a couple of small pasties, I’m definitely in no waste mood at the moment 😁

Nigella does N2BT Meatzza recipe - BBC Food😁, it's decent though more liked a very thin meatloaf if that makes sense.

Beautiful day here, really sunny and warm. Bit of domestic pottering this morning while watching Saturday Kitchen.

Earlyish lunch of beans on toast before volunteering this afternoon. Had to declutter a LO scone half with jam and cream 😉

Salmon with sweet potato, sesame and chilli mash plus stir fried baby corn and mange tout tonight.

it has been a lovely day today, I spent time in the front garden and managed to fill the wheelie bin, unfortunately it doesn't look like I've done much, it's got a little out of hand! I did catch the sun too much on my face as I forgot the sun lotion

Smoke salmon and cream cheese bagel for lunch.

Dinner out tonight with ex work colleagues which was really nice a pub half way between us I had a lovely piece of hake and then I less healthy but very tasty slice of Bakewell tart with custard 😋 we put the world to rights, the three of us who are retired act as surrogate parents to the fourth person who is still working and not yet forty. Ex manager is moving to the West Country so we won't be all able to meet up so much.
