Good morning everyone,
Mildish but very overcast here so not feeling that warm, it's supposed to dip to just above freezing tonight.
Ham, veg and rice dish was very tasty there's a lit LO so lunch will be that and the remaining fridge gravel from Sunday. I've a few chores and some admin to get out of the way but apart from that I'm planning a quiet one as I'm feeling rather battered after physio yesterday.

It’s a bit overcast here too and I think temp is around the seasonal norm. I took the bus to the next town as I’m on the lookout for a new handbag. I didn't find a bag to suit but before the bus home I made a quick visit to tesco and ooh yummy - jersey royals are in store, pricey I know but I do enjoy them.
I picked up some nice looking deli ham and some salad bits for lunch.
Although I really fancy some new season potatoes tonight I wasn’t going to change the plan as the broccoli needs using. I’ll have the tenderstem in a pasta dish with walnuts & blue cheese, roast tomato salad and hm garlic bread.

A cooler and overcast day and it's now getting a bit blowy
Quiet day in I found the iron and ironed my tee shirts a couple of pairs of linen trousers will need a rinse a spin before I tackle them.
Chicken thighs I brought yesterday were deboned and skinned and froze into four packs each with two serving, I'm happy with eight portions for £4.60 😁 we've recently been given food bins so I'm hoping I'll not regret putting the skin and bones in as collection is Friday. I wrapped in newspaper and sealed in a larger compostable bag found at EFs flat. Hopefully it will not be sniffed out by the foxes as the bin is outside.
Mushroom omelette for lunch using up some sad mushrooms. LO slaw salad and poached chip for dinner with some roasted beetroot.

It is a nice sunny day here today and I woke up at 6.30 as I had another early night. I am having a smoothie and toast for breakfast.
I am having a late lunch as I have two classes this afternoon. I went through my freezer to see what needs using up. I am making a potato salad, coleslaw and having it with tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce and beetroot. I am going to have it with a veggie burger.
Dinner will probably be something in a pitta bread and something sweet afterwards. I have 4 tubs of ice cream/sorbet when I checked my freezer!

Good morning everyone,
Brambling we've had food bins for many years. Mine too is outside. There are foxes, rats and seagulls a plenty but they've never got in my bin or any of my neighbours' so hope you don't have any problems.
Yesterday cleared into a lovely and sunny late afternoon and evening though it did get pretty chilly overnight. It's warming up nicely and the sun is shining but again supposed to dip to near freezing tonight. I think when I next change my bed I'll risk my summer duvet though I'll need a blanket over it. DS2's new "toy" arrived - a bells and whistles gas grill. Shame the weather for the weekend and Bank Holiday isn't promising.
The spiced salmon with chickpeas and cauli was very good. I tweaked the veg element a bit but there's still Los which I'll build my lunchtime salad around. Spicy chicken and veg pasta for dinner.

Sunny but a very cold wind, another deceptive looking day
Brambling, food bins, not got ours yet, council is waiting to supply them, but from what i read the lids can be locked / clipped closed. Local FB reports recent winds have blown loads away down roads,,hunt your bin all over again
Asda delivery arrived & put away, one sub, of sausage rolls which I sent back. The sub ones where Jumbo and not really CFO sized
Lunch, eggs on toast
Dinner, new one on me, multi buy offer this morning, sweet & sour pork tray bake. Sounds nice but proof of pudding etc

Lovely sunshine and not a cloud in the sky however still a cool breeze coming off the sea.
I took another frustrating trip with elderly neighbour to look at bathroom displays this morning. I’m beginning to feel quite sorry for her, it appears her son is in control of her money and dislikes the idea of her spending his inheritance on her bathroom and told her b&q would be more appropriate.
No lunch as such but a quick snack in a coffee shop before getting the bus home.
Tonight I'm looking forward to some jersey royals tossed in butter with a pan fried turkey steak and air fried asparagus.

thanks Caronc 🙂 we are a long way behind some Counties with the food bins, I think they are a good idea especially as I stopped using my compost bins for F&V peelings 🐀 but some people in FB are up in arms about it 🤷🏼♀️
It's been very windy today my washing needed extra pegs to avoid my undies travelling next doors and I decided against washing my bedding as I thought my duvet cover may cause my crooked whirlygig to take off. It least it all dried very quickly, although annoying I forgot to treat the tee shirt with a fat strain on and add to the wash.
Snap on lunch Farway although my egg on toast was boiled egg and soldiers.
LO pork, stirfry kale and rice for dinner, I did turn the rice into stirfry and added extra veg as well as the kale

Need2bthrifty - I would be tempted to advise her to get the most luxurious bathroom she can afford!
I had a smoothie quickly as I have to go out to go to the pharmacy. I will have something more substantial when I get home. It looks like lovely weather here again.
