Sunshine & showers, pus a stiff breeze. Once it eases towards brighter I'll nip into garden & pull some rhubarb, it is the second year so I can at least get a few more sticks now.

    Lunch, another lamb burger

Dinner, breaded cod & AF chips + peas, again, need to use the cod or freeze it, so may as well eat it now. One of the CFO problems, always two or more in pre packs and no fishmongers, butcher etc.,

    Good morning everyone,

Chilly, overcast and showery here. I'm heading for a hair cut a lunchtime and hope I miss the showers. If it's dry, while I'm in town I'll take the opportunity to have a nosey round a couple of shops and pop to the Post Office.

Fridge gravel lunch when I get back then a catch up on domestics and admin. Trying these for dinner tonight topped with a poached egg for a big more protein. Indian Loaded Sweet Potatoes Recipe | Sweet Potato Recipes | Tesco Real Food

I haven't posted in a few days. I went out today to get cash out and the breeze feels chilly. I had a slice of sourdough toast with veggie pâté and a yoghurt. I'm going to make some lunch when my cleaner leaves.

We’re having a real mixed bag weather-wise, lovely clear sunny skies then a horrid hail shower, a lot colder out there than it looks too.

Recently a bus company which runs electric buses started serving our area, it’s a very limited stop service and only stops if pre-booked. Now that I have my fancy new phone I can finally access it and what a joy - comfy clean coaches, with nice polite drivers, I'll definitely use again.

Went into the City to meet a friend, cuppa and a catch up, also found a reasonably priced handbag to suit my needs then a quick browse through m&s foodhall - I was very restrained today and only picked up some bread and jersey royals both YS 😁

Dinner is leftover salmon, jersey royals and AF asparagus.

Heavy rain and sleet showers, and just the odd sunny spell today. Glad I didn’t need to go anywhere.

Posh fishfinger and gherkin sandwich for lunch. Rarebit pork steak using LO creamy leeks with new potatoes and tenderstem broccoli tonight.

I’ve made packed lunch for tomorrow and cleared up the kitchen. Now settling down to watch race across the world.

We've had rain, thunder, hail and wind today with a little bit of sunshine in between.

I sorted my house insurance this morning and saved some money which I put towards a new lawn mower! My neighbour has done mine for years as it's only a small lawn but he was finding it difficult to use his big petrol mower by the end of last year so it's my turn now to help with his (I haven't told him yet) it's a cordless one as recommended by my sister and a good deal on a refurbished one from the manufacturer the reviews said they tend to be new not used so probably returns. They have a year warranty so should be ok. I'll just have to double the antihistamine on the day I do it 🤧

I needed to pop in EFs so went into Lidl which is close lunchtime to see if they had any Japanese stuff left and also picked up some Greek EV olive oil and tinned Gigantes beans.

Scrambled eggs on toast for lunch. LO chilli and rice for dinner

Off & on grey & sunshine, and still cool.

Lunch, quick change of lunch plans, stolen from JKS. Posh fish finger and gherkin sandwich for lunch. I only bought the posh Waitrose fingers Tuesday, never had with gherkin in a sarnie, but worth a go

Dinner, swapped with lunch, lamb burger, a few AF chips & some salad bits

    Good morning everyone,

    Snap re the weather Farway!

Managed to get my hair cut without getting soaked. The wind though was bitter so I didn't linger in town. I've no plans to go any further than the bin today.

I cooked the full amount of the veg and rice mix for last night's dinner so plenty LOs of that to cover lunch with some added protein probably eggs and/or feta. DS2 is out and about for the next three evenings so CFO for those. Need to have a rake and decide what to have. Salmon and chicken will probably feature.

Some really nasty showers here this morning but thankfully it dried up nicely for some of us at the bowling club to get a few practice ends in this afternoon.

Grilled cheese on toast for a quick lunch.

A dip into the freezer for dinner, I think its chicken & chickpea curry and I’ll use up the last portion of the ys jewelled rice that I picked up in m&s a few weeks ago.

I’m getting low on the RM stuff in the freezer so I’ll tidy it tomorrow, update the inventory and think about a meal planning and batch cooking weekend.

Always have gherkins in a fishfinger sandwich, it’s a great combination 😋

Busy office day so was glad of my smoked mackerel potato salad in a lunchbox. Honey and soy duck and vegetable stir fry with noodles tonight, using RTC duck strips from M&S, they were lovely.
