Another fairly sunny day here, just a heavy shower late afternoon (was sunny when I went into the swimming pool and rainy when I came out 😅). Another load of bedding dried on the line.

Avocado and scrambled eggs on toasted bagel for lunch. Some of the LO chicken with broccoli and baby plum tomatoes in pesto pasta tonight.

I get off at J2 Farway. The M27 is still a pain not only miles of 50 due to work but both Sunday and today the non road work areas were miles at 50 so the could do system tests.

I picked up my sister in the NF yesterday took her to a pub lunch in Dorset with two of my other sisters before staying at hers last night. Their puppy is so naughty and will raid your pockets to steal anything. Her toys included plant pots, pebbles and socks. She has the speed of a whippet and the brains of a poodle the bounce of Tigger and so very pretty. I'm worried that my BIL is becoming very unsteady on his feet and I fear some cognitive issues which I'm not sure are from his cancer treatment or something else.

Let us know if the new book is worth it please Caronc.

Early sandwich lunch at my sister's before leaving. Chunky Fish finger, chips and sweetcorn for dinner, I found some TTD Sains fish fingers in EF freezer

I've just been ridiculously lazy today! Tin of new potatoes, tin of sweetcorn, tin of mixed beans in tomato sauce and 3 veggie hotdog sausages chopped up. Made 3 portions of what I'm optimistically calling 'sausage and bean stew'.

Considering I've been having ryvita with cheese spread for tea for the last 2 weeks it's actually an improvement!😂

Wet & windy start, but sun has arrived so will wait & see how that goes

Like the bean stew idea, because I found a tad past BBE tin of new potatoes, and some mixed "salad" beans, an idea I'll explore later

Lunch, found mini pizzas in freezer, one of those

Dinner, very posh, on offer, rump steak, eggs & AF chips. The steak was a moment of madness while shopping on line Waitrose. I was looking at mince and then thought s*d it, spend a bit more and get the real thing on offer

    Good morning everyone,

Bung together stew sounds good catz4m8z

Certainly on first pass through the book looks great and I've a good few earmarked to have a further look at Brambling, will report back once start trying them out.

Grey and wet here today with thundery showers. Is supposed to be a good bit milder but it's not feeling it so far. Hoping to get some herb plants potted on ready to start hardening them off in the next couple of weeks. Still swithering whether to make soup or not or to stick with salad lunches. Tuna & egg salad is planned for today. Tonight it's JO's chicken and blueberries which has become a firm favourite, I know there will be a good whack of the grain/lentil/pea mix LO so might hold off on the soup front until that's used up.

Wet and windy morning here, of course I had to be at the hairdresser this morning then jump a bus to run a few errands, and typically now that I’m home it’s starting to brighten up out there.

Lunch was a quick snack of a banana and a bottle of water on the go just to curb the hunger. Then I popped into @sda to pick up one of their deli pizza ’s for dinner tonight.

I have a day away tomorrow so no cfo planned - someone else in charge, what a joy.

A wet start to the day but it got better

Popped into town this morning for a hour to pick up something in M&S and picked up some half price YS chicken mince which I divided and froze. We have a small shop in town where they sell some dry food in bins and small packets of herbs etc he's been in town for decades whilst chatting he shocked me by saying he was 86! Definitely obviously carrying on working keeps you young, he looks and acts about 20 years younger

My sister sent me home with a couple of scones, which I popped into the microwave for a few seconds to refresh and had for lunch.

AF fried chicken for dinner which turned out really lovely and moist inside and crispy outside, I'll have to remember how I did it as it was the best I've made in a while. Served with vegetables slaw (no mayo) potato wedges and salad

Mixed clod & sun, but milder with a warmish breeze

Up to Morries first thing, bits & bobs plus YS mooch.. A decent YS haul today, Welsh butter YS to 73p, from nearly £3. Still in date to early June, but it freezes so bought three, one now, two in freezer.

Also YS mince, was thinking about cooking, chilli or savoury, but seeing Brambling mince which I divided and froze may copy & do the same.

YS cod fillets, one for freezer, one for dinner

    Lunch, cheese salad sandwich

Dinner, YS cod in batter, + AF chips & frozen peas
