Sunny but breezy here today, had to untangle the sheets on the line a couple of times 🙃

It’s been a long week but I felt motivated to do some stuff today. Bed stripped and wash put on, out for a swim and then food shopping on the way back. Bedroom dusted and hoovered and bed remade, hoovered pretty much everywhere else too.

Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel for lunch. Sweet potato, chorizo and pepper traybake with a sprinkling of feta for tea.

Tee shirt weather here, I wished I was organised to do my washing before going out this morning.

Met a friend for a cuppa and a catch-up in the John Lewis cafe this morning, i brought the carrots I forgot earlier in the week whilst in there, Waitrose shares a building with our small JL.

Home for a quick lunch and back out to visit EF. The care home lift was out of action and they were waiting for the engineer who still hadn't turned up when I left at 4pm 😳 her first words to me were I have a long list for you! Followed by I've changed my mind I can't go home with a live in carer as I can't afford that so I'll go home with day time carers coming in!!! We're back to where we started as she needs night time care and we go around in circles again, just as well I haven't stopped the process for a permanent care home local to town as I think that is where she will end up, meantime it's driving me to drink.

Home via my sister for cuppa and watching her granddaughter cheat at finding pairs 😁 and playing with magnetic tiles.

Lentil, roast beetroot and roast radish salad with beef foe lunch.

A lazy beef and horseradish baguette for dinner with a large glass of sloe gin!

Nice long call to my sister in the new forest whilst the puppy did the zoomies. She told me she hadn't fallen over the dog but…. whilst avoiding it and hoovering she fell and hit her face on a cupboard. I nearly had another gin after the call!

Another T shirt day ahead down here. Warm & sunny and no significant rain for a week so they say, every silver lining has a cloud, means I have to start watering the pots now 😉

Left arm slightly tender from the Covid jab, otherwise all's well

Lunch, last of the on offer sausage rolls + brown sauce

Dinner, CFO Sunday dinner 😁, nuked LO mash, use up some eggs, defrost some YS posh sausages & open a tin of beans. Actually ideal on a nice sunny day, quick, tasty & easy

Not quite tshirt weather here, it is lovely and sunny but the cold wind is keeping the temp down in single figures. It is however a good drying day so I got a load of washing out early.

Feta salad for lunch and I defrosted the half leg of lamb overnight for dinner tonight. It’s cooking low & slow at the moment so should be ready in plenty of time, I searched the freezer in vain hoping I had a portion of braised red cabbage in there but no so it will be ss peas and ???.

    Good morning everyone,

Sounds as though your gin was well earned Brambling!

Sunny but chilly here, more a t-shirt under a jumper than t-shirt weather! But it's dry and bright so I'm happy.

Pot of chicken, veg and lentil soup is underway for dinner and my sis is popping over for a catch up and to drop Ari here overnight. Smoked salmon & cream cheese bagel with salad and fruit for lunch.

Tortellini for dinner tonight. Or ravioli. I can't remember which one has the earliest date on.

another nice day and two loads of washing dried.

I brought some new vegetable storage boxes for my fridge so cleaned and sorted the fridge this morning, maybe i should have done it before I stocked it! My fridge dries out fruit and vegetables very quickly if they aren't covered.

I tackled the under bed storage this afternoon I have a large pile of clothes for charity shop and another pile still there to revisit, they'll probably go as well.

Last of the roast beef with horseradish and salad in a part baked roll.

New potato AF chips with a naan bread vegetable pizza and salad

Thought I’d posted last night but obviously not. Was a lovely sunny day with a much lighter breeze, more bedding dried on the line. I also had a big sort and tidy of all the garden pots, and because I found some gaps, had a garden centre visit - did manage to only buy what I went for 😊

Made smoked mackerel pitta pizzas and had one for lunch with salad and coleslaw. Treat tea of steak with garlicky butter beans, spinach and feta 😋
