I'm out to dinner quite early tonight so I have only had a toasted bagel with Flora and some gherkins and mini beetroot. I might have some fruit and nuts this afternoon but I don't want to ruin my appetite. I'm going out for Indian food tonight which is a change.

I finally got around to getting myself a more up to date mobile phone but who’d of thought such a simple procedure would take the best part of an hour. I have it charging at the moment but cba switching it on to do the “start-up” malarky I’ll deal with that tomorrow.
Due to the length of time it took I missed my usual bus so had a small tub of lemon cheesecake ice cream at the bus stop waiting for the next one.
Dinner tonight will be the soup I took out of the freezer to have for lunch, in the meantime I will nibble on crackers, spreading cheese and cucumber slices to keep me going.

Fishfinger and coleslaw wrap for lunch. Prawn, green bean and baby corn Thai red curry with noodles tonight.

I didn't drink enough yesterday so was a little headachy this morning, the feeling of a hangover without the benefit of a drink!
Popped around to EFs flat to hunt down a blouse she wanted taking in, it turned up under a pile of jumpers on her spare bed 🙄 I read her meters whilst there and on the way home I popped into SM to buy her some tissues. I was given orders on the phone yesterday but she will need to wait for weekend before I visit.
I had some Thai green curry prawns in the freezer from Aldi, not sure what I paid for them but they were in a nice sauce just not many prawns, but handy to pop in the microwave from frozen. I had with some lazy rice for a late lunch. Veetee do two packs of microwave rice and one is a good CFO size when I cba to cook rice (I know not the cheapest option for a good standby especially as brought on SO). The jasmine one worked well with the prawns
I roasted a small beef joint for lunch, whilst the oven was on I roasted some radishes and beetroot as well. Annoyingly just the one very small very sad carrot in the fridge, not sure how I let myself run out as I eat alot raw 🤷🏼♀️ so the carrot and swede mash was heavy on the swede. There was some stuffing brought at Christmas in the freezer so I freed up some more room 😁 LOs for another roast dinner tomorrow just no roast potatoes or parsnip left

Dull but due to brighten up for this afternoon, make everywhere more cheery, especially now all the apple blossom is out
Boring, but necessary financial stuff to catch up, cash ISA needs moving and I found loads of old 1st class stamps that need swapping for new bar-coded ones. I have the form, just need to fill it in & post
Fishy meals today
Lunch, grilled tinned sardines on toast
Dinner, tinned tuna + mayo in jacket spud, plus salad bits

Good morning everyone,
Back to rain this morning after it turned into a lovely afternoon yesterday. Need to give the fridge a clean & tidy before Tesco come as it's got a bit jumbled since Easter and I'm sure there are random lurking veg bits needing used up so will see what there is and make some soup this weekend. Fridge bits for lunch and some sort of chicken & veg based oven bung in for dinner.

Friday volunteering day and we were quite busy so the day went fast with lunch on the go 🙂 I use just park to park in Sainsbury's car park and it was slightly chaotic getting out tonight due to temporary lights just outside and idiots blocking the roundabout so we couldn't get out 🙄 I decided the carrots I wanted could wait as I had to get out of the car park by a certain time.
Salmon and Lentil salad for lunch with roasted radishes and beetroot, I used half a sachet of merchant black lentils.
I didn't fancy another roast dinner tonight so I just made a bubble and squeak and had with some cold beef. It is a very nice joint, very tender. I think beef cooks better in the oven rather than the AF or it could be my cooking skill!

I didn’t post yesterday, I was having a few issues setting up my new phone and gave up looking at screens by the afternoon. It seems to be sorted now…hopefully 🤞
I did eat though and had a pitta stuffed with hm turkey meatballs, salad and a yogurt/sriracha dressing for lunch and an easy dinner of hm spag bol.
I am starting to make some headway working through the freezer soup stash, I’ll have another portion today and for dinner I’ll do a chicken kebab and have it with some of the YS jewelled pilau rice from m&s I have stashed in the freezer.

Good morning everyone,
Heavy showers and cooler than yesterday here this morning. A day of pottering is planned and I want to make some soup for tomorrow which will use up a chunk of the remaining cheap veg from Easter. I stashed the veg in hessian veg bags from IKEA and it's in a cool room and it has kept really well. Did need to buy some more carrots this week as we were about to run out, We seem to use a lot of those.
For dinner last night I marinated a large chicken breast in yogurt, lemon, paprika, garlic and mixed herbs and roasted it with various veg. There's LOs which I'll have for lunch with some salad. Dinner will be Meliz Berg's spicy chopped chicken with AF chips and salad.

Late arrival today, it was Covid booster jab this morning, then onto friend with a land line phone playing up. it was duff, old, batteries in the handset, replaced & working fine.
Beautiful sunny & warm day, and set for the weekend it seems, I've just finished a bit of pottering, masses of apple blossom this year, and it looks like plenty of blackberries to assist.
Lunch, sausage rolls + brown sauce. Off on the rolls at Asda, otherwise I wouldn't have bothered
Dinner, given the weather, has to be salad repeat, with a salmon / mayo filled jacket spud
