Good morning everyone,
Belated Happy Birthday Farway. 🎂
Still blowy, cool and showery here. I finally sowed my tom and cue seeds yesterday just need decent light and warmth now, winter does seem to be dragging on this year. Only got a drawer sorted through yesterday so will carry on with that today.
The tofu "facon" bagel was very good though not the best recipe on the Tesco website with a couple of the ingredients missing from the list and what would have been IMHO a bit of a bland chickpea patty if I hadn't pimped it up a bit. That said it's I definitely make it again. Another bagel for lunch, this time with smoked salmon and cream cheese. Fruit platter for afters. Dinner tonight is chicken, veg and lentil soup from the freezer.

Belated happy birthday Farway like N2BT I forgot you had mentioned it. I also meant to say well done on the weight lost Carconc, three dress sizes is a whole new wardrobe.
Lazy day pottering after a late start, I did feed his lordship and let him out at 6am and went back to bed. He wasn't impressed by the rain which had stopped when I got up.
Last of the hummus with carrots and celery for lunch.
Last of the ratatouille with rice for dinner, it was the gift which kept on giving 🙂 I was going to have roast pork but didn't fancy it so popped it into the freezer

Cold but sunny, back to normal after birthday bits & bobs
Finalised the Asda delivery for Wednesday, think I remembered everything but I was struggling to get to the £40 min for my delivery, loo rolls to the rescue 😀
Lunch, more LO pork pie + salad bits
Dinner, LO cooked veg as bubble & squeak, with last of the pork pie and anything else knocking around in the fridge

Oh sorry, happy belated birthday Farway. I must have missed that.
I thought those chickpea patties looked a bit bland when I looked at the recipe Caronc.
It is a nice sunny day here. I have a GP appointment and then I have a show tonight and am staying overnight at a hotel. I have had some strawberries and a banana as I might eat out for lunch.

Good morning everyone,
Yes the patties definitely needed more than the recipe stated. I added onion, garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander and cayenne along with the parsley, turmeric and seasoning and they ended up really tasty.
Another grey, cold and wet day here but my day has been lifted with an absolute cracking call I had to make to a fairly large company. Expecting the usual " your call is important to us but we are exceptionally busy" malarkey I was delighted to pretty much get straight through to a really helpful call agent. If only all experiences were like that! Just need to hope now that the problem is actually solved. Admin and domestics are today's plans. Fridge bits for lunch and JO's fish pie soup/stew for dinner, I chopped the veg base yesterday so it won't take long to put together later.

Lovely sunny and breezy day here. I got a load of washing out and dried by lunchtime. I did a proper clean of the bathroom and the kitchen, stopped to have a bowl of soup for lunch, there’s just the floors to mop and they’ll be spick & span for a few hours 😁
Chilli from the freezer for dinner with a sweetcorn salsa and a baked sweet potato.

So cold this morning that the windscreen needed defrosting when I went out at 7.15 but then turned into a sunny day with some very heavy rain in the middle of the afternoon, very April weather!
I made a batch of spicy roasted sweet potato, cranberry, pecan and feta couscous last night so portion of that in a lunchbox for lunch in the office. Quick and easy pesto pasta tonight with broccoli, green beans, spring onion and some LO roast chicken. Rest of the chicken gone in the freezer, think I got 5 good servings 🙃

April showers here as well although they stopped by late afternoon.
I needed to pop out this morning and managed to drive pass the farm shop without going in 🙂
Spent the afternoon with my sister I went around at 2pm when she got home from work for a cuppa and left at 6pm 😁 we put the world to rights and it was good for both of us to talk through some issues and get a fresh perspective, two heads can be better than one.
Cheese on toast with piccalilli for lunch.
Sea bass, new potatoes, asparagus and runner beans with a basil, sun dry tomato, caper, anchovy salsa for dinner

Lunch, the Brambllng cheese & piccalilli has tempted me, yesterday I found an unopened jar lurking ☺️
Dinner, salmon fillet defrosting, pan fry, with salad + jacket spud
