Went into the City this morning and had a good catch up with a friend over a cuppa & a hot cross bun. I did however notice some nice colours and styles in the clothes shops so I’m thinking another trip is necessary soon to have a proper look and try on.
Lunch was pate, crusty bread and grapes.
I went into m&s to get some red onion chutney for tonight's recipe of red onion, beetroot and feta tart. I also couldn't resist ys items of thin cut turkey steaks and jewelled pilau rice which I’ve put in the freezer meantime till I decide when I’ll use them.

Breakfast - yoghurt with the stuff (thank god my yoghurt appetite is back), lunch, mini rice and tuna salad from Lidl, dinner fresh tagliatelle with tuna and tomato sauce.
Sadly I had a fairly big bag of crisps on the way to see my friend so not going to be especially hungry for dinner.

it's been a lovely day today my sister came around after lunch to help do some garden in the back. The greenhouse is now ready for the summer and the brambles taken over behind it have been cleared, well at least for now! It was hot enough to be outside in tee shirts 🌞 we stopped when the wheelie bin and wheelbarrow were full and I was wheezing! She stayed for a couple of cuppas and some biscuits afterwards. Watched a couple of large buff tail bumble bee enjoy the flowers on my ornamental currant, the bees love it 🐝
The warmer weather meant his lordship was reluctant to come in for the night and shaking his treats meant I ended up chasing not my cat around the downstairs whilst my PITA looked on from the doorstep head slightly tilted to one side, obviously wondering what was going on!
Cheese, crackers and apple for l7nch.
Dinner was salmon, rice, tenderstem broccoli, AF asparagus with a topping / salsa of parsley, basil, capers, anchovies and sun dried tomatoes with some of the oil. Topped off with some pickled cucumber.

Bit of a getting back to normal day today before back to work tomorrow. Has been a lovely day so washing out on the line and got out for a walk (and an ice cream 😉) this afternoon. Went and did a proper stock up grocery shop this morning as it’s a busy week and I have exhausted all the food options I had left.
Avocado and poached eggs on toast for lunch. Chicken thigh, new potato, red pepper and feta traybake with green beans tonight 😋

My lurgy suddenly came back yesterday evening, suddenly started sneezing & shivering, luckily it was near bed time, so one P'mol & off to bed. Woke up wobbly and a bit weak but that's an improvement. Luckily sun's out, nice & warm so some sitting in sunshine may occur today.
Lunch,, a mini pork pie should do, not very hungry TBH
Dinner, TBD, maybe another mini pork pie or pick at the LO lamb?

That's a shame Farway hope you are on the mend soon.
Another chilly but sunny morning here. I had an early appointment at the hairdresser which was much appreciated as it was becoming a bit unruly.
A use up of leftovers day on the cards for me with a piece of beetroot & feta tart with salad for lunch.
I froze two portions of the roast beef, veg and gravy yesterday but have some of the smaller slices and odd bits to use some of which I’ll have tonight with mixed peppers in a fajita. Hopefully there might be enough meat leftover for a sandwich tomorrow, I'm determined to squeeze every last bit from that meat joint 😁

I had a sandwich and some water. I am going out to a Soundbath today. It looks like a lovely day outside.

Good morning everyone,
Hope the lurgy goes quickly Farway.
That tart looked lovely N2BT.
Lovely day here, so nice to feel a bit of warmth in the air. DS2 got bits to repair a damaged greenhouse pane yesterday he's on holiday so hoping to get it sorted out week. I really must start my tom & cue seeds!
I've a few domestic chores to get out of the way and then I'm going to enjoy a sit on the deck with my book for an hour or so. Salady bits for lunch and I'm trying this recipe tonight Grilled Teriyaki Fish With Veg And Noodles Recipe | Fish Recipes | Tesco Real Food using cod loin and fresh broccoli.

I would certainly recommend that tart, sweetness of the chutney balances with the earthy beetroot followed by the creamy texture of the feta, looks good and super easy too 😀
