Sort of grey all day but not cold or wet. Slept late after a very early wake up for a bathroom trip followed by busy brain. Big clean up of old place this morning (want my full deposit back 😉) and a bit more unpacking and sorting this afternoon.

Beans with toast for lunch. Curried smoked mackerel and pea orzo risotto tonight.

Little ones 4th birthday today so family lunch, I got home after 7pm 😁 her party is next Saturday, hired hall with 20 children I'm sure you can imagine that I'm 'upset' to miss it 😁I will admit to being glad I had previously agreed to work at Petworth as we will be busy due to a event. The baby has found his voice he does say the occasional dada but it's mainly just noise.

After lunch and cake at my sisters' I just had some fruit at 9pm

I did eat out for lunch yesterday. I had salad, pickles, fries and pitta bread and a glass of wine. I'm sorry that restaurant is closing as they had good vegan options. They might open up somewhere else, though. I decided to walk home after to get some steps in.

I am going out for a walk today so I hope it stays dry. I just had a quick sandwich and I'm going to take my water bottle with me.

I did get woken by the wind and rain last night but it wasn't as bad for us as predicted, hope you weren't too badly battered Caronc I heard on the news that Ireland and the West coast bore the brunt of Storm Dave.

You will be sorry you missed GN’s party Brambling, four year olds are great, when I worked in early years services they were definitely my favourite age group.

I am still using up odds and ends for lunch and for later I’ve defrosted the SO meat joint overnight and I'm doing a pot roast with my 15p veg for dinner tonight.

    Good morning everyone,

Glad you weren't too battered N2BT, it was wild here but not as bad a forecasted. It's murky here but the wind has died back a good bit. I'm with you with four year olds being great I'd say the 4-8 age range was my favourite time with my boys.

My relative had a fab party last night but my the disco and singer were loud. I'm definitely too old to enjoy that level of volume!

I need to get cracking as our Easter meal won't sort itself out! I peeled veg yesterday so at least that's done. Our main is slow roasted lamb leg, braised carrots, fine beans, Greek lemon roast potatoes, creamed cabbage & leeks and gravy. Cottage cheese salad for lunch.

Not really affected by storm Dave here, bit windy but no more than normal, quite mild & bright grey right now

Planned toast for breakfast went south, the old loaf had gone mouldy so binned it. Just had slice of the new granary loaf instead, the toast fancying had passed by then

Lunch, salad & salad cream sarnie 😁

Dinner, roast root veggies, using the Easter offer ones, maybe wit som of the LO roast, on offer, Lamb leg

N2BT I've done more than my share of children's birthday party especially as I have none of my own and the idea of 20 4 year olds and accompanying adults has no appeal 😁 as much as I love her Saturday family day was enough.

Storm Dave missed us too other than a little wind overnight, I had to close the bedroom window.

I woke with a headache today and gave up and went back to bed for a hour lunchtime before I was woken by the phone.

I skipped lunch but had a apple and a couple of biscuits when I woke up.

LO lamb shanks, mash potatoes, red cabbage and runner beans for dinner

The weather was quite nice here yesterday. I went out for a 3 hour walk yesterday!

I am going to have my usual smoothie and toast for breakfast. Jacket potatoes and something for lunch and I'm not sure what else.

Sunny and blue sky, set fair for most of the week and could hit 20C Wednesday, and as that is my birthday it would be a nice pressie

Hope it's at least dry elsewhere for nay Easter festivities going on, maybe a thing of the past but I remember Easter parades & fairs when I was young

Lunch, cold LO lamb sandwich + mint sauce

Dinner, more LO lamb, with salad & jacket spud

    Good morning everyone,

Dry, blowy and on the cool side this morning. If it hadn't been for frequent hail showers it would have been quite lovely yesterday afternoon. Little DGD was in good form and it was lovely to have cuddles and see her properly smiling. ❤️

Cooked my socks off yesterday so for a quiet one today. There's enough LOs for lunch and it's soup from the freezer for dinner.
