With the damp dull day it's cooking and not salad day, get stuck into the cheap veggies

Lunch, LO pork pie + salad bits

Dinner, I'll roast the offer half lamb leg, with boiled / steamed fresh spring greens, parsnips, carrots, broccoli, new spuds

I have had my usual toast this morning and I'm going to make a smoothie.

The jacket potatoes I have are really nice (special buttery ones or something) so I'm going to have another one for lunch with something from the freezer and some baked beans, peas and sweetcorn.

I might just have snacks later or soup and a roll as I have ordered some tomato soup in the shopping.

Thanks caronc, and yes very happy to have the Easter weekend to recover and finish getting sorted Brambling. I only moved round the corner so lots of trips in the car with whatever would fit 😅

A very quiet day today, just some unpacking of treasures and desk stuff plus some change of address tasks. Have managed to move on a few more bits now that my brain isn’t so full.

Scrambled egg and avocado on toasted bagel for lunch. Made prawn, red pepper and pea egg fried rice tonight. Enjoying having a dishwasher again 🙃

it's rained most of the day here too, not heavy but persistence

I woke tired and have felt weary all day, I did doze this afternoon but was woke up after fifteen minutes by the phone. I haven't been out I've just done some pottering indoors.

N2BT I think you're right about EF, she didn't mention going home today but was complaining about the staff at length and was annoyed that they called me for something when she didn't know the answer, they did tell her they had

    LO kedgeree for lunch.

Rather than using the recently brought lamb joint I unearthed from the freezer a couple of lamb shoulder shanks brought reduced (Waitrose meat counter 2 for £3). I pressure cooked both in red wine, stock, carrots, shallots, celery and some rosemary from the garden. I blitzed the sauce once cooked and had with red cabbage (I found cranberries in the freezer to🙂) mashed potatoes and runner beans 😋 very tasty if I say so myself 😁 LOs for Sunday as I'm out tomorrow.

Heavy frost again this morning although nice and sunny at the moment so I’ve put some washing out in the hopes of getting it partially dry. Rain and wind due to arrive this afternoon and of course the worst of the wind is to be in the early hours 😣

Odds and ends to use up for lunch and dinner tonight will be a broccoli souffle using the remainder of the 15p head of broccoli, I’ll have a rummage in the freezer as there may be a chunk of blue cheese in there that I can add too.

Grey & drizzle to start, but supposed to brighten up later.

I tried some shredded wheat for breakfast, it was on offer so thought I'd try it again. After all these years I'm still not a fan so this will be my last box.

Lunch, undecided, pork pie LO or LO cold lamb?

Dinner, cold LO lamb + salad bits

It must be much easier to move house so locally. I hope to do that with my next move.

I have had some grapes and a sandwich. I might be going out for lunch today as I have to go into Southend.

    Good morning everyone,

Weather is beginning to break here and due to be very windy later. My sis and I are off to a relative's 40th do this evening and I'm hoping not to get soaked or blown to bits between car and venue!

The salmon sides arrived as hoped and have a decent date on them so will probably wait until Monday to portion and vac pack them. Marinated and cooked a couple of the chicken breasts last night, used one for dinner the other will be added to salad for lunch. I'm aiming for lunch to be my main meal as I think it will be a sandwich buffet tonight. Tomorrow the family are descending for Easter dinner, I'm sorting out main course (lamb) and pudding (fruit salad), my sis is bringing some homemade nibbles to start us off.

Blueberries for breakfast, hoummus bagels for lunch, gnocchi with tomato sauce for dinner. I also finished up the last of the dates. They are surprisingly calorific.

Tomorrow I might skip breakfast because I doubt I’ll be hungry, bagel for lunch and freezer curry with rice for dinner.
