MIA yesterday, the evening ran away with me. Lunch was quiche, baked beans and bread and butter. Creamy, mustardy sausage, leek and mushroom pasta with broccoli for tea.

It seems to have been a very long week (probably because I’m off next week) and it’s been a manic work day. Grabbed a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon and a few cherry tomatoes for lunch. LO sausage pasta with more broccoli tonight.

Will be an early night after Masterchef final I think.

I spent a couple of hours at EFs flat this morning which included a catch up with her neighbour after a resident meeting I missed last night regarding a large increase in their service charge this year and next 😕

I popped into Sainsbury's before coming home lunchtime and picked up their half price salmon and leg of lamb. Salmon has been portioned into five double portions (10 portions for £12) the lamb is in the fridge waiting to be deboned before freezing in smaller joints. It's been awhile since I've done that so I'm thinking on what will be best. I put in half a tank of petrol (ouch) as Sainsbury's it was considerably cheaper than other garages around here but still 143.9 but at least not the £151.9 others are, unfortunately I have been using the car a lot more recently.

Scrambled egg on toast for bunch as my sister and I were going out for tea and cake to celebrate her end of term, I wanted to make sure I had room 😁

Pork and mushroom stroganoff using some pork fillet from the freezer with rice and tenderstem broccoli for dinner

I've been having a fibromyalgia flare-up the past two mornings for some reason. It is annoying as I am out all weekend. I haven't had any food yet as I don't know if I feel like eating.

Dull and chilly, cue for my plum & pear blossom opening just as it goes cold. Actually loads of pear blossom this year, not that it matters because the pears look great but are hard & then go rotten before they ripen, it's taken ten years to fruit, talk of plant pears for your heirs !!

Lunch, LO HM chunky chicken & leek soup

Dinner, the other half of the of the Morries £10 Meal Deal Cod & chips, with some frozen peas

    Good morning everyone,

I hope the flare up eases Wednesday.

Cold, but dry and bright so far but rain is due this afternoon. Hoping it holds off for a bit as I need to pop to Boots. Another mainly admin day though I got the bits that had to be done by today cleared yesterday. LOs for lunch and usual Friday tbc for dinner.

Lovely sunny morning although there is rain forecast for this afternoon. I took a quick trip to argos this morning, however the bus was running late so no time to mooch around aldi or asda before the return bus was due.

Chorizo and broad bean salad for lunch.

I want to use up some of my hm meals that are in the freezer so tonight I’ll have the last portion of chicken and leek pie with baby potatoes and ss peas.

Friday volunteering today and it was busy! I didn't go out lunchtime so the rain was a surprise when I left.

Family telegraph advised that the lastest great great niece has been born unfortunately it failed to provide a name, i'll have to ask my eldest sister who is the great granny on Sunday when I call her.

Salmon and rice salad for lunch. LO pork and mushroom stroganoff for a quick dinner, a little drier than yesterday but still tasty

    Good morning everyone,

My we are having some ferocious hail showers this morning, it's very windy too. Thankfully it's supposed to ease a bit this afternoon.

Managed to get through the admin pile yesterday so a domestic day is planned. I want to make a pot of chicken and veg soup, do dome ironing and give the fridge a clean and tidy.

For dinner last night I marinated chicken breasts in lemon, yoghurt and tandoori spice and cooked enough for lunch today and possibly tomorrow as well. Tonight it HM pork burgers with salad and AF chips.

It was a lovely sunny although cold morning. Temp is still in single figures but the outlook is looking better, fingers crossed.

I went into the City and after getting the needful done had a quick cuppa and a cheese scone then managed a mooch around m&s foodhall which produced a YS pizza for dinner tonight, so not a lot of cooking going on - I’ll try and do better tomorrow 😁
