sunny day and forecast for the week. My sister borrowed my car so a pottering day at home, she brought it back around 3 so we had a cuppa and chat before I drove her home via EF she may rehome EFs TV but wanted to measure, it's 50inch a no she's worried it's too big, it definitely was for EFs lounge! But my sisters room is a lot bigger. I think I'll need to get get someone to check some cracks in the flat as I knew there was one in the spare bedroom but hadn't realised it was on the other side of the wall in the bathroom including a couple of tiles. It's always something at the moment! At the least the SW has put in writing that EF needs to move to a permanent care home so I can start the process of sorting her flat and selling it, my sloe gin has been opened!
Chicken and salad salad for lunch. I needed to use a aubergine and courgette and made a ratatouille for dinner and roasted a butternut squash when the oven was on. Dinner was ratatouille, chicken and squash

I haven’t had breakfast yet as the cleaner is doing the kitchen. I need to go out and buy bread or crumpets as I have run out and the groceries aren’t being delivered until 7 tonight. It is another lovely day. I might buy some flowers too.

Great sunshine day, and warm as promised
Asda delivery arrived a tad early, but i was around so not a problem, I prefer earlier rather then hanging around for late.
Just two subs, lettuce & cheese, but both were what I would have chosen. Could it be that shopping robot AI thing checks past purchases and offers similar as a sub? Now that would be useful.
With the sun I hope to have a mini potter & weed this afternoon, get the space ready for my Mange tout nearer Easter, still coming on in the unheated conservatory at the moment, away from the pigeons & mice
Lunch, salad sandwich
Dinner, on offer chicken delivered, it is a large one and I deliberately bought to last a few days. I'll roast it this afternoon & then it's chicken salad

Good morning everyone,
Chilly, dry and overcast again here today.
After a bit of a scratchy throat yesterday I've got up with a streaming head cold. I'm hoping it lifts quickly as I'm away this weekend. DS2 was the same yesterday but feeling a bit better today so fingers crossed.
Tesco due later with just one (acceptable sub) but apart a day of pottering and probably a proper nap this afternoon.
LOs for lunch and tonight I'm making JO's speedy cod curry Speedy cod curry | Jamie Oliver recipes which we'll have with rice and salad.

It was quite a nice morning until the postie arrived with the council tax bill and even with the 25% discount it’s a monthly increase of £14 😳
A very young seal came ashore with the high tide yesterday lunchtime, it looked to be quite thin and in need of a rest. I was shocked that people just wouldn’t leave it be and kept going up close stressing the poor thing out. The rspca picked it up at 6.00pm so hopefully it will be fed, rested and released soon.
Scrambled eggs on toast for lunch and an easy bung in the oven hm cottage pie tonight.

Lovely sunny day but spent it in the office. Productive day but always feel exhausted after a day of interacting 😂
Orzo pasta salad with feta, olives, sun dried tomatoes and cucumber for lunch. Quick and easy favourite of sausage and spinach gnocchi tonight.

N2BT ours has gone up 5.5% which with discount is a extra £10 a month 😕
JKS I may have to copy your salad for lunch on Friday, I try not to take a sandwich to volunteering and that sounds really nice and I have allthe ingredients
I made a couple of calls relating to EF this morning then popped around this afternoon. I've four big bags for charity and Petworth bookshop and I've bearly touched the books. One large bag for recycling bin and one for general rubbish. I also collected all her meds which I was told not to give her after they were rearranged at the hospital which I need to drop off at the chemist which is near her flat when I have time.
Chicken and salad wrap for lunch. Ratatouille with more of the cold roast chicken for dinner. I may make soup tomorrow as there is also a leg left to eat or it will have to go in the freezer

Another sunny day ahead, it seems my rhubarb is growing larger daily, but not yet enough for a crumble
Lunch, fancying beans, or tinned spag, on toast, a good old standby
Dinner, LO roast chicken, probably with another salad

Good morning everyone,
Dry and trying to be sunny here, it's a bit milder as well.
I'm feeling less grotty today so hope to crack on with a very long to do list ready to head off for a few days with some friends tomorrow. Fridge gravel for lunch and salmon and roast veg traybake with steamed green veg for dinner.

Glad you are feeling better Caronc.
I have four donation bags too Brambling.
I just had toast and Flora and I made myself some hot drinks even though it is warm as I have to get through them. I had a cup of green tea and a cup of ceremonial cacao as I bought some powder the other day and hadn't tried it yet. I have lot of things in my drinks cupboard, including a milk frother that I forgot I bought.
A gorgeous day again.
