    Good morning everyone,

Lovely daffs Brambling . Ouch re the 10% rise N2BT!

Cold, wet and blowing a hooley here today, a truly unpleasant day and the forecast is that it will be late evening before the gales blows over. Thankfully I don't need to venture out for anything and DS2 brought a stack of logs in yesterday. I'm still very tender post physio, it's taking a bit longer to settle than usual but I'm sure it will if I'm sensible.

Really enjoyed the chicken, cauliflower and sweet potato dish last night definitely on the make again list. More of the bacon, leek and frozen pea soup for lunch. Trying this tonight Rachel Roddy’s recipe for beans with greens and sausages | Sausages | The Guardian using reduced fat Cumberland sausages and Cavolo Nero. I'll roast some cauli and peppers to have with it.

Absolutely filthy weather here too - strong winds all day and it started raining early afternoon, chucking it down now. Forecast to be like this until tomorrow lunchtime.

Nipped out at lunchtime and had a bowl of HM butternut squash soup with my mum. Got sent home with a piece of HM carrot cake, which was my pre-swim snack this afternoon 😋

Creamy Stilton, mushroom and tenderstem broccoli gnocchi tonight. Nice comforting bowl food!

I wouldn't complain about 5.5% N2BT even with 25% single person discount it's pretty horrifying.

Grey and windy today after yesterday's lovely day, I put my heating on for a bit when I got home lunchtime.

I took EFs cat back to Cat Protection this morning and evening through the was no other option I'm still feeling guilty the poor think yowled for 45 mins in the car and made her displeasure known, windows down on the way home 🤢 which could be why I was cold when I got home. It is better than spending so much time on her own when she has been used to a constant companion.

Lunch was related if yesterday Serrano and manchego cheese. Korean chicken with rice and pickled vegetables for dinner with LOs for lunch tomorrow.

Aw, poor cat, hopefully she will get a new owner soon.

My back feels better today although I am very stiff. I have a massage booked for this morning and the sun is out so hopefully a good day despite it being Friday the 13th. I just had a banana and some toast.

It was a wild night here, but no where as bad as some places. Just damp now with a week sun trying hard

Hope EF cat gets settled, always sad when elderly owner elderly pet are parted

Had a fridge clear out fist thing. I have a celery surplus, one lot dated Dec 27, but still looks quite fresh. All into a large pot for Fridge Bottom soup which should do for a few days

Lunch, bowl of freshly HM FB soup

Dinner, unsure, but N2BT fish finger option sounds right for this weather, or maybe more HM FB soup ?

    Good morning everyone,

Hope puss soon gets a new home Brambling.

Fingers crossed the massage does the trick Wednesday.

Less blowy but much colder than yesterday and the showers, though less frequent, are definitely on the lumpy side! Hopefully winter's last kick before we get some decent early Spring weather.

We both loved the sausage and borlotti bean dish, definitely a make again. Although reduced quantities there's portion of the bean mix LO which I'm going to have for lunch with a poached egg. Tonight I'm making the Hairy Dieters lamb saag curry. I started the base yesterday so once I've finished my current cuppa I'll get the lamb prepped and the rest of the ingredients added ready to pop in the oven later. We'll have the curry with rice and salad.

Very cold start here too but beautiful sunny skies, so not all bad.

Oh dear Brambling the poor cat must be so confused and scared but not a very nice task for you to do either.

I really enjoyed the fishfingers Farway but I blame JKS, she mentioned a posh fish finger sandwich couple of weeks ago and I had to have some 😋

Lunch was another portion of the yellow split pea soup.

I found half a block of halloumi and a ciabatta roll in the freezer so tonight I’ll do a halloumi burger with pickles and salad.

Usual Friday volunteering day it was quite quiet so more gossiping than work. It was dry but cold when I went into town lunchtime and looking like a nice few days.

LO Korean chicken with rice and pickled vegetables for lunch. I made a bolognese sauce last night when the chicken was cooking and had pasta with it for dinner

What a beautiful day! I really enjoyed my massage yesterday and my back felt okay as her massage table was heated.

I just had wholemeal toast with vegan cheese I found in the freezer. I made myself a virgin Mojito as I had a craving.

Lumme, a frosty start this morning, on the roofs anyway. Now it's cold, with blue sky & sunshine

My HM fridge bottom soup turned out mediocre in the end, just lacking "something". I'll eat it of course, it's not like I have gallons of it, a few meals & it'll be gone. I've added some broken spaghetti in, to at least give it a bit of a bite / body

    Lunch, the lacking FB soup

Dinner, salmon fillet, fried in O oil & butter, with salad & jacket spud
