Bright grey and a cold wind, supposed to warm up mid week, good!

Went to amend my Asda delivery but told Tuna tins have increased in price , so left the order well alone. Asda at least supply at price you ordered, not at price when delivered, unless delivery price is less, so it's win win IMO. I was only adding new spuds to order ,and I can do without very easily

Lunch, LO HM pasta soup thing

Dinner, defrosting tuna fillet that I found while rummaging, been there since June 2024, so a tad overdue. I'll poach it in Microwave to try and stop it drying out with possible freezer burn. With salad & boiled new potatoes

I'm going to have a tofu salad sandwich again and then soup and bread for lunch. I am making jacket potatoes tonight with something from the freezer and maybe baked beans. It looks like another sunny day.

Started off really cold but sunny although clouds are building up again and rain on the way. We're still in single figures tempwise but think it’s supposed to get up to 12/13 deg mid week before getting colder again.

I went into the City to get a new pair of trainers and couldn’t believe that those with laces seem to be in the minority. I have slim feet and prefer to have laces so that I can pull the shoes tight around my feet, still managed to find a pair though  😉

Sweet potato and carrot soup from the freezer for lunch.

Had a mooch around m&s foodhall but none of the YS items took my fancy today, I really only needed some soured cream for the mushroom & leek stroganoff I’m making tonight so an inexpensive shop. Noodles or rice to go with it? I haven't yet decided.

Always noodles for me with stroganoff, N2BT, what did you go for?

A disturbed night and a strange start to the day so feeling a bit out of sorts, will be an early night.

Beans with toast for lunch. Smoked mackerel pilaf with the end of the tenderstem tonight.

I forgot to post yesterday, I fell asleep in the chair the kind of sleep where you can hear background noise but aren't fully awake I could hear match of the day music as I snoozed off.

Quiet morning other than EF calling to say she had decided as her flat was empty she would go home! By the time I visited after lunch she had realised it probably wasn't realistic we then went around in circles. She was acceptance of a care home in this town until the SW asked if she would consider Extra Care Housing (aka assistance living) and it's not help the situation as that's not really suitable either. 🤬

Boiled eggs and toast for lunch.

LO roast chicken with bubble and squeak for dinner, I did mash with my roast yesterday.

Dull start but sun on the way for rest of week, maybe

Be good once EF is finally settled in Brambling, but that could be a while if SW keeps mithering her.

Made an overnight loaf in BM now I know I'm not getting bread delivered tomorrow

Lunch, BLT sarnie now I have fresh bread

Dinner, TBD, I have salad bits and sun is due out, so something salad is likely

    Good morning everyone,

Hope something suitable gets put in place soon for EF Brambling.

Chilly and overcast but dry here this morning. No "heatwave" for us on the cards but as long as it's dry I don't mind. I really must have a think about getting some seeds started soon now there is a bit more daylight.

I've a few admin tasks to tackle and need to do some ironing but that's about the extent of my plans for today. Lunch is tbc either soup from the freezer or tuna salad. JO's chicken and blueberry bowl for dinner.

I had a smoothie and green tea this morning as I'm going out for lunch today with my friend from the forum. 🙂 It looks like a nice day outside, but it feels chilly in my house.

I went for the noodles JKS, but there is enough leftover stroganoff to have tonight so it will be a nice change to have it with some brown rice and ss peas.

It was a lovely sunny morning although there’s still a strong wind blowing. I decided to give my new trainers an outing, and very comfy they are too. I went to the bakers and picked up a small loaf then took the long way home along the seafront and around the bay.

A nice healthy, fresh prawn salad for lunch.

Sunny and a bit breezy here but definitely warmer than it has been. Much better night’s sleep last night and a more normal day so feel like I’ve been more productive.

Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel for lunch. Went for a swim early evening so had reheated LO smoked mackerel pilaf with some sugar snap peas tonight (remembered the mango chutney as well tonight).

Made two days packed lunches before I went out too 😇
