Good morning everyone,
Another cold day with fierce showers. DS2, my sis and I plus pooches are off to see DS1's this afternoon for a quiet get together for DS2's birthday. I think we are going to opt for Japanese takeaway from a place near them which is really decent. The plan is to eat early so we can leave before they try to settle DGD. Hard to believe she is 5 weeks old today! I've a couple of chores to do and then I'll have a light fridge gravel brunch. Thoroughly enjoyed the HB's lamb saag, I made the full recipe so plenty LO to freeze for future meals.

A nice sunny morning here too but has started to cloud over a bit, not sure if there is rain on the way but I brought my washing in just in case.
I have some pan fried halloumi leftover from last night so I’ll have it in a salad for lunch with a caper and lemon dressing.
I made a bacon, leek and sweetcorn quiche this morning which I’ll have later as I’ll be watching the rugby this afternoon, I’m not clear on all the rules but have been really enjoying the matches lately.
Another double yolk egg for the quiche, that’s 4 out of 6 now 😁

we had frost as well this morning although the sun has cleared it when I went out at 9am it's been a sunny day although it's gotten chilly tonight.
My sister and I went on a course today to learn about natural dyes. It's our Christmas present to each other, we pick a half or full day course to do . Very interesting although I'm not sure if I will ever do it now I'm home.
Their courses uses a building at a garden centre about 20/25 minutes from home so lunch was a delicious cheese scone in their cafe.
LO pasta and bolognese sauce for dinner.
I popped to Waitrose before dinner at 6pm for milk and picked up a half price YS chicken which will feed me loads of meals next week

Sunny start, but cold, rain maybe later this afternoon
Adding pasta to my HM soup was a big improvement, turned into more of a sloppy pasta than soup but it was fine as CFO
Lunch, lazy & tasty grilled cheese on toast
Dinner, use up and my CFO Sunday dinner, grilled sausages, eggs & AF chips

It is another gorgeous sunny day here.🤩
I have a wilted basil plant so I'm going to make tomato and basil soup today. I have some leftover scrambled tofu that I will have in a sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes and avocado. I just got some bread out of the freezer.

Good morning everyone,
Cold and wet here. I've a day of domestic stuff planned so wasn't intending to go beyond the bins anyway.
I had a lovely day yesterday with the family, plenty of baby cuddles and some really very good pork ramen for dinner. Followed by a mini cupcake for DS2's birthday. Although it wasn't a late one and wine free I felt a tad sluggish when I woke up so have a had a lazy start. Scrambled eggs with mushrooms, tomatoes and peppers for bunch. Dinner is tbc either soup or stew from the freezer.

A very chilly start and some rain mid morning but it’s turned out nice and sunny now.
I caught up on a few domestic chores too then had a portion of yesterday’s quiche with salad for lunch (2 portions have gone in the freezer).
Tonight there’s some veg that needs using so I’ll do a stir fry and have it with the remaining spring rolls I have in the freezer.

Colder and grey again today with showers on and off this afternoon. Domestics and a bit more decluttering and sorting this morning.
Wasn’t very hungry at lunchtime (must have been the big bowl of porridge for breakfast) so had the very end of the pizza with a bit of salad and a couple of crackers with cream cheese. Out for cake with family this afternoon to mark Mother’s Day 😋
Chorizo and chickpea stew tonight with tenderstem broccoli and garlicky toasted bread.

Good morning everyone,
Sunny and windy here with heavy showers. Pretty chilly too!
More domestics planned and I need to start to get myself organised for a few days away with friends. I'm bringing the Friday night meal and the basic kitchen supplies. I feel a list (or two) coming on!
LO chicken & chorizo soup for lunch. Saag paneer omelette with salad and veg chips for dinner.
