A quiet day for me pottering at home, I woke early after a weird dream and when I tried to go back to sleep went back into the same dream so gave up.

Lunch was a repeat of yesterday scrambled egg with a toasted muffin. Prawn and pea risotto for dinner with some broccoli

I had a dream I was in a snowdrift last night. I talk online with people in the US and it must have been from them talking about the snowstorms.

I haven't had breakfast yet. I'm getting an Indian Head Massage today. I'm going to have some strawberries and some toast before I go out.

    Good morning everyone,

Forgot to post yesterday, by the time I got back from lunch with friends the day ran away from trying to get organised for DS1 & DIL bringing DGD here to meet the pooches/have lunch. Lunch yesterday at a local coffee shop was very good. We all opted for chicken salad bowls and it was a lovely, varied meal, one of the highlights being a dollop of vegan Bombay potato salad. Dinner last night was also really tasty Honey And Mustard Salmon With Poached Eggs Recipe | Salmon Recipes | Tesco Real Food and could easily be scaled for CFO. I followed the recipe apart from doing a selection of veg rather than just the green beans.

Lunch today will be HM chicken & veg soup, fridge gravel crustless quiche and salad. Dinner is tbc.

    Bombay potato salad sounds lush.

I have just got back from my massage. It feels like Spring today. I feel really hungry for some reason, but I will have to wait as they are doing the kitchen.

I think I’m just going to make a quick pasta with some frozen veg and a sauce jar for lunch.

Today is just like Spring, daffs out, and the dandelions, blue sky, sun & mild. Hottest day since last November they say, which doesn't sound much of a bar to me 😀

Went to Marks earlier, run out of "bits" and I fancied some decent, posh, food, ideally with yellow stickers on

Quite good really, YS fish [dinner tonight] and YS crumpets. But was tempted and bought chicken legs on offer, the marks ones were very good in the past, plus a nice cauli, do for the weekend cauli cheese, and some very posh burgers

I don't normally buy burgers, but fancied some and thought at least Marks will be decent quality

Lunch, one of the burgers, in a bap

Dinner, Marks YS cod fillet in batter, with frozen AF chips

Sounds like a good haul Farway, I do love a mooch around Marks and will need to pay them a visit soon as a friend's birthday is coming up and she loves the pink grapefruit gin that they stock, making present buying easy for me 😉

I took a trip to tesco this morning for some f&v to tide me over until I do an online shop.

The jambalaya I made last night ended up being more generous than I anticipated with a portion stashed away in the freezer and enough leftovers for lunch today.

Dinner tonight is spinach & ricotta tortellini, from the freezer, with a mushroom sauce and green beans on the side.

  • Yes, spring like again here today, went for a walk after work (which was manic today).

Scrambled eggs and avocado on toasted bagel for lunch. Made creamy sausage and leek pasta tonight, which I don’t seem to have done for ages, served with green beans. There’s another portion for another day (probably Friday as it will be a long one).

Have brought my sore throat to bed, hope I can sleep it off. Changed the bedding earlier so a nice treat to get into a clean bed (it would be done every day if I had all the money in the world, and someone to do it for me 😂)

me too JKS I love fresh bedding just not the hassle of doing it 🙂

I have a similar receipt use Caronc but with boiled eggs I haven't thought of using poached eggs

it's been nice here too, I didn't a little pottering in the garden to make the most of the sun.

Small portion of LO prawn and pea risotto for lunch. Sweet and sour chicken and noodles for dinner

Yoghurt with apple compote for breakfast, a big treat. I always make too much. Hoummus sandwiches for lunch and chickpea, spinach and egg curry for dinner.

I also have baked potatoes for dinner, two aubergines that I’m not sure what I’m going to do with, freezer food, mutter paneer and I have some mozzarella so either pizza or I will chase down some nice tomatoes in Tescos and make caprese salad.
