Cold and grey again here and a bit rainy. It gets warmer from tomorrow apparently (strangely increased temperature).

Today whizzed by catching up with work after a few days off. Had an appointment at lunchtime so quick beans with toast at my desk. Just had prawn, red pepper and pea egg fried rice - the ginger was very gingery 😁

I had a 9am appointment in town this morning which didn't take long so I wandered until the Swedish cafe opened at 10am so I could buy a still warm Swedish cinnamon bun to take home for a late breakfast 😋 I did stock up on a few bits in Savers whilst wandering. Luckily the morning was dry as it drizzled later. I put two hours on the car park but didn't require it all.

I made a saucepan of vegetable soup for lunch, it's very green 😁 and cleaned the microwave when it was cooking.

I cut back my hydrangea in the drizzle after lunch I needed to do something physical before replying to a text 😡

I used some of the roast beef to make a stirfry with vegetables and noodles for dinner

Dry and brighter grey, but rain due later so dry is not lasting long ☹️

Up by five this morning, just could not sleep so

up early and fish fingers for breakfast, I had thought there was bacon in freezer, but someone seems to have eaten it !

Lunch, a nice crusty posh subbed loaf, making a hopefully tasty salad sarnie

Dinner, grilled thick pork chop + salad stuff. May add handful of AF frozen chips

    Good morning everyone,

Heavy rain earlier but try and trying to be sunny now. It's a tad milder but still feels chilly.

I was a good bit more active yesterday, possibly too much so as I'm feeling it today. I'm hoping it's just temporary and the returned creakiness wears off as the day goes on. I'm keeping everything crossed for a visit to see DGD on Sunday.

Meals today are tbc, either fridge gravel or soup from the freezer for lunch and probably something chicken based for dinner. Tesco aren't due until tomorrow but there is loads of bits and bobs of veg so will see what needs using up sooner rather than later.

Went to argos this morning then had a browse around matalan before getting the bus home, nice to see some of the spring stuff on display but I wasn't tempted to buy….yet 😊

Cheese & onion toastie for lunch and tonight an easy meal of scampi, new potatoes and a side salad.

Office day for me today, went out and got home in the light 😊

Temperature had gone up by about 5 degrees during the day.

Portion of broccoli and Stilton soup from the freezer with a couple of slices of bread for lunch. Easy tea of reheated bacon and pea risotto (also from the freezer) with tenderstem broccoli.

Already the weekend 🙃, could get used to 2-day weeks!

  • My mum is helping me with house buying. She’s leaving the option open for me to stay where I live at present. I’m going to cycle to see a flat this morning.

Nice yoghurt and honey for breakfast, I’ll have Greek potatoes and tomatoes for lunch and do a miso aubergine half with rice and soy sauce for dinner.

Good luck with the flat search.

I was so tired from walking around the past two days that I missed the Soundbath last night and had an early night instead. I feel much better today and I'm off to a class this morning. I'm just having a quick sandwich before I leave.

Dull & mild morning, suits the longer days and the open daffodils

I'm going to have to buckle down over next few days, sorting out car & house insurances, both due next month and both zoomed up in renewal price. A quick comparison shows I can get it for around half renewal offer, same old same old every year, gets annoying, but at least these days there is the web to check instantly and not having to ring round, or visit, brokers

Food today is TBD, I'm meeting DD for a pub lunch, so could be a sandwich, or full on meal, it depends on menu etc

Dinner, after pub lunch it all depends how hungry I feel
