    Good morning everyone,

Cold, grey and very wet here today.

I had the most wonderful cuddles with DGD yesterday and was able to move some of the "here's one I made earlier" meals from my freezer to there's creating some space for further ones. Today I need to catch up on various chores and might make soup (type tbc) later.

LO Thai Green curry for lunch. Pasta with Moroccan lamb meatballs in HM tomato sauce tonight using burgers from Tebay Farm shop.

Lovely to hear you spent some time with your DGD Caronc.

Caught up on a couple of items on my to do list today as well as tidying the freezer. I found some pate in the freezer which I had on toast for lunch followed by some fruit.

I put a chilli con carne on to cook this afternoon which will do dinner tomorrow allowing the flavours to mature.

Tonight is baked salmon, I’ll have it with warm lentil salad and some veg.

nothing beats tiny baby cuddles Caronc 🙂 especially if they do t leak or explode on you!

The powers that be can move fast when they want to (or want the bed.!) I received a 9am call about a care home bed in my old work town (about 30 mins away), a 11am appointment to look over the care home. Before I got home I got a call back from placement team and she will be moved in tomorrow leaving the hospital at 10am. I was at hospital breaking the news by 1pm. The care home looks a little tired but has good reviews and good CQC scores, we shall see.

As I'm a glutton for punishment and agreed before Christmas to add as attorney to one of my sisters and BIL the LPA paperwork arrived to sign today so I popped into visit friends after hospital visiting to witness my signature.

I grabbed a tin of tomato soup for a early lunch with some cheese and crackers.

Cheese on toast with pickle for a lazy dinner

I went out to a meetup last night to a Mexican restaurant. I had cauliflower wings and a burrito bowl. It was very nice.

I'm eating out for lunch and dinner today so I'm not having a big breakfast and I'm feeling full up from the meal last night too. I'm just going to have a smoothie.

Lazyitis has set in here, I did a small load in the washing machine and put on the heated airer and a quick tidy of the kitchen but keep coming back to watch more of the Olympics - Curling for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a bit of Skeleton and Snowboarding in between 😁

I need to use up some fruit so for lunch I’ll have a banana on toast, followed by a pear or two.

Chilli con carne with a baked potato and slaw for dinner.

Damp & drizzle, but not too bad considering.

Amazing how quickly "they" can move if it suits them Brambling. Hope EF likes it once she gets settled

I'm out later for annual Heart check, mis-timed it, I try for an early slot, so I can go shopping and mooching around after, but had to go at later time this year, which will be slap in middle of lunchtime shoppers, the lunchtime chippy is tempting though, see how I feel after my check up 😉

Lunch, if not chippy, LO HM soup

Dinner, LO chicken & salad bits

    Good afternoon everyone,

Very cold and grey here today with a bitter wind.

Been on the phone most of the morning for mainly baby related stuff, she is keeping Mum and Dad on their toes! I feel as though the day is completely running away from me lol!

Fridge bits for lunch as I never got as far as making soup yesterday. Trying this tonight Sweet Potato & Chicken Traybake | Traybake Recipes | Tesco Real Food with added peppers and green beans.

Hope all ok caronc, glad you got baby cuddles. I’ve been out the last couple of evenings - fed one night and I catered the other one.

Grey, damp and cold again here, snow forecast over night and in the morning.

LO pizza, coleslaw and salad for lunch. Chinese pork steak, noodles and stir fried veg tonight, had some pak choi for a change. Cooked two steaks so will create something with the other one in the next couple of days 😋

Did you succumb to the chippy Farway?

are you a grandma, nanny, granny, nana or something completely different Caronc ?

I had a bad night sleep, too many things going around in my head. I was able to do some 'me' stuff this morning including dropping old towels at the vets and a Tesco shop. Not sure where all the money went to especially as I was trying hard to go with club card offers, I did pick up a extra large chicken for £4 YS it's been quartered and frozen, each quarter will easily do me for two meals 🙂

EF hates the care home, her room isn't just small but the wrong shape. Unfortunately the move has really confused her I'm hoping over the next couple of days she will settle and be able to process things better. I had an interesting conversation with her and then the nurse so I was able to straightened out some of the things she was confused about. I'll see how she is on Sunday, I'm not popular by telling her and the nurse that I can't visit until then. I need some me time for volunteering.

Smoke salmon and cream cheese bagel for lunch.

Late dinner of pasta with bolognese after a hour long chat with one of my sisters, we put the world to rights, I told her I was practicing for when I have to put her in a home! They are really missing having a dog so she is talking about getting another, I suggested a cat less walking with her dodgy knees and my BILs balance issue caused by the side effects from his cancer treatments.
