Another afternoon of spectacular waves yesterday but sadly two more casualties on the beach this morning 😪More of the same today, glad I had the foresight to get my SM delivery on Monday so I don't need to go out.
Lunch today is celery soup from my freezer stash.
Dinner is a bit of a concoction tonight as I have a small amount of the chorizo & bean stew leftover and found half a tin of corned beef in the freezer so I will layer these, top with mashed potato to create a version of Cowboy pie.

Good morning everyone,
While it probably is the right decision it sounds as though telling EF was poorly handled Brambling and as LPA you definitely should have been informed before she was. I hope a decent place is found for her.
Cold, wet and very windy here today. The gusts are very strong to I think I'll leave DS2 to sort out rubbish and logs. I have plenty to keep me occupied indoors.
There's a couple of meatballs LO so they will form the basis of either a salad or noodle soup for lunch. JOs chicken with blueberries for dinner. It has become a firm favourite.

Cold, wet and windy here, no snow but it’s around. Forced myself out to swimming after work and did rubbish at the same time - not sure if the bin will be upright by morning 🤔
Remembered about a YS higgidy feta and tomato quiche in the freezer so warmed that up with some baked beans for lunch. Thai red prawn and sugar snap curry with noodles tonight.

I went into town for a hair cut so typically it was raining. My passport runs out in the summer so I went into Timpson next door for photos and a ID number for an online passport renewal, just need to return my current one tomorrow. No plans to go overseas this year but it's easier to do it before it runs out. I popped into oxfam and one of the volunteers recognised me and started chatting, the whole time I was trying to put a name and place to her (I did recognise the face) as I was leaving someone called her by her first name which was the same as mine and as I drove home I remembered she was one of the vet nurses at my old vet and had worked there for years.
I'm tearing my hair out re EF and the hospital, doctor called lunchtime and said she had spoken to her this morning and thought she could maybe go home with care package the decision to send her to nursing home 'wasn't set in stone'. I was already reading a similar worded email from SW. I replied to SW with some concerns and reminding her myself and her neighbour wouldn't go in every day. When I got to the hospital EF had bounced back moodwise due to the doc telling her she could maybe go home 😡 email from SW when I got home now saying after my concerns maybe push EF to accept a short stay at nursing home to assess would I meet with her and EF next week, if EF says no it would mean a best interest meeting to make the decision on her behalf. So we have gone from permanent NH to home with caters to short term stay in NH. Meanwhile EF is down then up and I'm playing devil's advocate trying to not crush her hopes. Farway I would need to clear her flat if she goes into a NH and sort out the equity release company.
I found a bagel in the freezer, I toasted it and had with scrambled egg for lunch.
LO salmon added to a risotto for dinner with frozen veg.

It sounds like a nightmarish situation Brambling.xx
I just had toast and Flora with a cup of tea. It is raining here too. I'm eating at a new to me cafe this afternoon so I probably won't have anything more before that, maybe a smoothie, although I have run out of bananas.

A rare dry spell while waiting for the next lot of rain to arrive, it's over Dorset right now so by lunchtime I guess.
Brambling, what a mess with EF. I suspect if she does go into temp NH she may settle, or just forget, and like it
I've popped the on offer chicken into the slow cooker for tonight, easy option which avoids me having to bend and lift a heavy & hot roasting tray from my oven
Lunch, beans on toast
Dinner, some SC chicken, with nuked jacket spud + bean filling. Salad would be healthier, but it's too gloomy & dark for that today

Good morning everyone,
Dreadful situation with Brambling, sounds as though the professionals involved need to think about the impact their announcements are having on EF (and you). 🤗
The wind has calmed a good bit but it's turned much colder again and it's grey, raw day. Managed to hoover, dust and mop through yesterday so today I'll maybe tackle some ironing or tidy a couple of my bedroom drawers.
There's LOs of the grain, lentil, pea mix from yesterday which I'll have for lunch with some added salad veg and feta. Dinner will be the usual Friday tbc.

This must be the best day we’ve had here for about two weeks, it's still windy with some light rain but it is a lighter shade of grey out there.
I cooked an extra chicken thigh the other day so that I could have chicken pasta salad for lunch today.
I still have some of the corned beef left from yesterday which I’ll have for dinner tonight along with some cauliflower cheese and brussel sprouts.

More wet, cold, grey weather here. Trip out to a different office today and was glad I wasn’t going too far, the roads are horrible.
Took a cheese and mango chutney sandwich and some cucumber sticks for lunch. Pesto pasta tonight with added tuna, broccoli, olives, spring onion and sun dried tomatoes. Have also had wine to celebrate making it to the weekend 🙃

Usual Friday volunteering and considering how wet it was we were busy, people still have problems in the rain! Unusual for me I did paddle out lunchtime to post my old passport, pop into EF bank with query, they sent her a letter just saying look online at her apt for a urgent communication which when they checked for me was a letter, not sure why they couldn't have posted a copy rather than one saying go look on the apt??
Chicken sandwich for lunch and a donut someone brought in.
Didn't get in until nearly 6pm, broken down lorry on the very small piece of dual carriageway in town, combined with lane coned off for invisible work 🙄 and after two telephone calls EFs friends wanting updates, one after visiting her today. I didn't fancy LO cottage pie so had a part baked baguette with cheese and onion (very healthy) and a G&T 😋
