Very cold here today and more greyness. We’ve sleet and snow forecast but also a jump in temperature of a few degrees 🤔
Only left the house to drive to the dentist which was painless and quick 😁
Portion of soup from the freezer for lunch with the last of the mini dinner rolls, a slice of bread and a bit of cheese. Few more gaps appearing in the freezer. Creamy tomato and anchovy pasta with broccoli tonight.

Still raining and it felt colder today, at least we have avoided the worst of the flooding here.
I popped around to EFs flat this morning as lifeline were sending someone with new emergency pendant and it had to to matched to base, hers was lost at the original hospital or in the ambulance. I was told it's very common. I did the last of her lurking washing with some hospital washing whilst I waited. Then hospital visiting this afternoon.
Nannas magic tomato soup from the freezer for lunch with some cheese on toast
prawns with pasta and veggies in a tomato sauce for dinner

I just had toast with Flora and Vegemite and a cup of green tea. I have the last of the bean soup I made for lunch with a toasted half a baguette. I took some frozen raspberries out so I will have a smoothie too.
I'm not sure what to have for dinner. I will have to look and see what I have. Maybe jacket potatoes, salad and something from the freezer.
It is lovely and sunny here today.

Today is a dry day, not sunny but not raining so a plus for that
Asda delivery arrived, with just one item unavailable, frozen sliced mushrooms, so not a huge loss, oddly enough I nearly bought them when I was in Morries last week, but thought I'd leave it for a week. Which demonstrates a Bird in the hand etc 😁
Lunch, there were on offer mini pork pies, so it's one of those with mustard 7 sort of ploughman's salad bits
Dinner, grilled pork chop + salad. Not sure if with jacket spud or frozen AF chips

Good afternoon everyone,
Very cold, grey and damp here today. Some of the showers have been a bit lumpy!
Hector's toys are (temporarily) all nice and clean, he really was not impressed seeing them in the washing machine lol!
This morning seems to have disappeared, my sis popped by for a cuppa and a catch up and we nattered for ages. Apart from routine stuff and needing to meal plan this evening I didn't have any concrete plans so no matter that I'm running a bit behind myself. I really could do with hoovering and mopping through but that can wait until tomorrow.
Soup and again for lunch. Dinner tonight is the second half of the curried chicken meatballs. We'll have them with rice and either steamed veg or salad.

Getting so tired of this weather day after day, I think I prefer snow to the rain and strong winds we keep having.
Caught up with some shredding, filing and recycling but boredom is definitely starting to set in. I need to be disciplined and not try to cheer myself up with some retail therapy from a certain website that never knowingly undersold 😗
Lunch - Crustless tuna quiche, salad & pickles.
Dinner - Roast chicken, cauliflower & brussel sprouts

Yes, the weather is really draining now isn’t it? I did force myself out for a short walk at lunchtime and it was so cold still even though it’s a few degrees warmer today.
Smoked mackerel pate, toast, cucumber sticks and cherry tomatoes for lunch. Old favourite of sausage and spinach gnocchi tonight.

I'm another one who would take it cold and dry over the rain, we had some respite today but it's due to start again tomorrow for the next few days.
Unplanned hospital visit early afternoon as EF was told by the social worker that she wasn't safe to go home and would need to go into a nursing home, they told me she lacked mental capacity to make that decision herself, as LPA it's a decision I'll have to sign off on (EF doesn't know that) I'm annoyed that the SW didn't keep me in the loop as requested before telling her.
I made cottage pie lunchtime to take to friends tonight with a root vegetable mash, I must of skipped lunch when cooking and just picked as I don't remember having lunch!
Out to dinner with friends tonight my contribution was the cottage pie 😋 I had enough LOs when making it to make a mini one for me later this week.

I just had wholemeal toast with Flora. I have leftovers for lunch, soup and a cooked jacket potato that I need to just heat up. I have two appointments today so of course it is raining.

Brambling said we had some respite today but it's due to start again tomorrow for the next few days.
Yep, it's back, dull & wet again, yellow warning as well, but I guess that is linked to flooding with the soggy ground
Mixed news regarding EF Brambling, hopefully there are nice places around your area. Does EF have relatives or will her house sorting fall on your shoulders?
Meals, rinse & repeat of yesterday
Lunch, another mini pork pie ploughman's
Dinner, the remaining pork chop, grilled, with salad and jacket spud
