Wet and windy this morning, and dark all day, haven’t left the house. Another slightly manic work day, not sure what’s up with everyone 🤷♀️
LO chipotle beans on a flatbread with grated cheese shoved under the grill for lunch. Used some of the ricotta in a pasta sauce tonight with broccoli, anchovies, chilli and garlic.2 -
It was horrible weather yesterday, but it brightened up in the hairdressers so I managed to avoid getting drenched. Today looks quite nice and bright.
I have had a cup of herbal tea so far. I'm going to have a strawberry smoothie and toast with Flora before I go into London. I'm eating out at a restaurant in the early evening.

Blue sky & sunshine, hope it continues after the last few days of grot.
No, not just you, I can't edit quotes either, or I would have cut the above down. No doubt the edit function will appear in V2
I bet 'flu is an extra reason trying to get EF out & home
Lunch, ploughman's, sort of, bit short on cheese varieties until I get to Morries, maybe tomorrow after my blood test
Dinner, trying, on offer, grilled lamb steak from Asda, a few air miles in there, it's Australian 😐️. Because I shop online I can't rummage to find more local, or at least from this hemisphere. I'll have with new spuds & salad

Although it's dry today the strong wind is still here, churning up the sea and producing loads of spume/sea foam which is flying around as if a carwash has gone mad. It’s made a horrible mess on my window so bad that I can barely see out, I suppose that’s the price I pay for a great view.
Lunch today is a ham salad.
I was a bit generous with the quantities for the puttanesca sauce last night so I kept some and blitzed it up to make a smoother sauce which I’ll use on a scone based pizza with peppers, herbs and whatever cheese I find in the freezer.

Good morning everyone,
Sounds sensible to make your boundaries clear by not visiting every day Brambling.
Complete change in the weather from yesterday, this morning is calm and bright. It's chilly though and supposed to drop to freezing this evening.
I've a piece of voluntary admin to complete which will take up a good chunk of the day but apart from that it will be the usual pottering.
More soup from the freezer for lunch. Tonight I'm making chicken meatball curry inspired by a Pinch of Nom recipe though I'm using a cheaty sachet of Butter Chicken sauce. We'll have it with salad and rice. I've defrosted a full pack of chicken mince so there should be LOs.

Well it did at least get light today but still bone chilling damp cold air. Ventured out for eggs at lunchtime so scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast for lunch.
Also made it to swimming after work, cleared a pile of washing up and put a load of washing through, might as well make the most of having the heating on.Prawn, baby corn and sugar snap pea Thai red curry with noodles tonight.
I’ve had to do freezer Tetris to fit in coconut milk and bread 😅

A lovely blue sky wheni went out this morning but that changed by 7pm when I went out, temperature had dropped to 3c brrr.
It seems EFs ward had RSV according to the social worker, she hadn't visited because of it (not who she spoke to if anyone! ) because the SW wouldn't visit the ward she closed the referral and the ward will need to put in a new one 😡 when I went into the hospital they were deep cleaning the ward. I had to tell EF that having carers come in at home wasn't someone there all day but up to two people coming in up to four times a day.
A portion on turkey soup from the freezer for lunch.
Korean wings with corn on cob, salad and AF chips for dinner.

Good morning everyone,
Poor show on the part of the hospital/SW, no wonder your EF is confused Brambling.😡
Cold and dry but overcast here today.
The chicken meatball recipe was fab and there was enough LO for another meal for us both which I've frozen. Due to DS2 and I having various social activities on over the coming days I've split my Tesco order with a delivery arrange for today and one for Monday. It's scarily easy to hit the basket threshold and I've noticed prices of things I buy all the time are rising quite quickly again.
Soup again for lunch and tonight I've chicken breast defrosting to turn into a spicy bung together and 🤞pasta dish.

Cold wind today, such a change from yesterday's sunshine
Mu mum had carers coming in, but hers was same one, I suspect that was just a convenience for provider due to being a rural area, not because it was nice for Mum. Has EF got a decent freezer Brambling? Gone are the Old days when carer actually cooked or prepped a meal, now it's frozen ready made, stab & ping. Nearest to prepping is make a cheese sandwich and put some biscuits out.🤨
Blood test first thing, then onto Morries, mainly for YS mooch. Found YS plums, but they have 37P veg, not all, I got a Savoy, only small, but enough and at 37P it's just fine, and 1.5k bagged spuds, also 37P, ideal for one. And jar of Bonne Maman raspberry fell in as well 😁, on offer £2.60
Lunch, cheese spread on toast
Dinner, grilled lamb steak, jacket spud & salad
