  • Thinking of EF Brambling. Hospital is difficult for anyone, routines get upset and other people can be noisy.

  • Roast aubergine with rice tonight. I think the green beans will be too far gone. Hopefully the aubergine will be ok.

Rain stopped, but dull & damp, and cold when I went out to wheelie bin, bin day.

I've put a beef Bourguignon into the slow cooker, using a packet mix, with extra veg bits, so not strictly correct.
I may add dumplings later, depending on how I feel & it looks
A good, wet & cold day for slow cooked beef thing & dumplings

Lunch, cheese + salad bits sarnie
    Dinner, Beef Bourguignon thingy

    Good morning everyone,
Forecast is for rain but so far it's cold, dry and sunny.
We're all off to DS1 and DIL's tonight to celebrate my sister's birthday. The birthday girl has requested pizza from a place local to them so no cooking required. Lunch will be another bowl of the soup I made the other day.

I completely forgot I made pasta yesterday so I ordered a takeaway last night. I will have the spaghetti when I get home from my class. I will just have toast and marmalade for a late breakfast.

I was supposed to have physio this morning but the therapist had a migraine. Lucky for me as I overslept and then realised the clock in my bedroom was running slow so I would have had to rush.

Another day of what can only be described as “clortty” weather. We're still in the midst of rain and flood warnings so I’m hunkered down at home again as there's nothing I need to go out for.

Lunch was a peanut butter sandwich, the last of cheap stuff and not very tasty but it filled a hole, followed by some crisps & fruit.

Dinner is hm fish and chips (breadcrumbed haddock and AF chips) with peas, pickled beetroot, a dollop of mayo and bread & butter on the side.

Volunteering today, it looked like the rain stopped during the day but I didn't leave the office. It started raining about 5pm as I was leaving.  I quickly popped into Sainsbury's as I was parked there before going home.

His lordship acted as if I was starving him 🙄 I had left him two sachets and biscuits, he inhaled his dinner and demanded seconds.

Rice salad with tandoori chicken for lunch.

Vegetable lasagna from the freezer with salad for dinner

I was going to have a toasted bagel before my class, but I'm meant to be eating out for lunch so I might just have a hot drink and some fruit before I go, or maybe a milkshake. It looks like quite a nice day today.

    Good morning everyone,
After a manky evening/night it's bright and sunny today though decidedly chilly.
I had a lovely evening with the family and my sis liked her pressies. Ended up a late one though, not because we were particularly late leaving Glasgow but we decided to watch the Traitors final when we got back and avoid accidently seeing spoilers today.
Soup again for lunch and tonight I'm cooking JO's jerk spiced chicken with pineapple. We'll have it with salad, HM slaw and AF chips.

Another one here with sunshine, a bit of breeze moving the trees. Be good for drying, I think.

    Lunch, cheese + salad sarnie
Dinner, Pukka chicken, ham & leek pie. They were on offer in Asda, £1, can't ignore at that price, they are normally over £2. I'll probably have AF chips with it
