Unusual eating pattern yesterday want a 2am wake-up with heart burn 🔥 😐 so was headachy and out of sorts today. Add in the bad weather and it was a stay at home day, with just one phone call,
scrambled egg of toast for lunch
My second £1 pieminster pie from the freezer for dinner this one chicken, ham and leek although it had no ham in it. Better than the last on but still not great, a little short on filling.

Good morning,
Apart from the odd one from an independent bakery or butcher or small chain I tend to find that bought pies often leave me feeling a bit short changed.
Grey, chilly and wet here today. A day for pottering indoors. It's my sister's birthday tomorrow so need to wrap the gifts we've got here and finalise my Tesco order but, apart from usual domestics, that's about the extent of my "must dos" for today. Made a pan of celery, mushroom and butter bean soup yesterday so will have a bowlful for lunch. Tonight I'm making Thai pork and veg curry which we'll have with rice.

Damp & off & on drizzly, like Caron, a day for indoors
I think you are right, I keep meaning to buy a really posh pie, not a branded one, from somewhere like a farm shop, but come over faint when I see the pricecaronc said:Apart from the odd one from an independent bakery or butcher or small chain I tend to find that bought pies often leave me feeling a bit short changed.

Lol Farway, I bought various pies at Tebay last year. They were fairly decent, were they worth the cost even at 4 for 3 - jury's out!1

I just had toast with Flora and Vegemite.
I made spaghetti with peas and sundried tomato pesto for lunch for today and tomorrow.

Ugh, what a wet, miserable day. Glad to be home after driving to and from the office but had a good day.
Took a portion of spiced carrot and lentil soup and a pitta for lunch. Just made tuna pesto pasta with broccoli and sugar snap peas.2 -
Dreadful weather here but what can you expect if you take holiday in January. Meal out with mum tonight so no meal for one!Credit card 1700

Another grey day with a fiercely cold wind blowing.
I had an early lunch of egg salad then had to go for my shingles vaccine after about an hour I felt a headache coming on so cosied up on the sofa……a few hours later I woke up
I’m not prone to “Nana Naps” but it did get rid of my headache. Luckily I had taken stuff out of the freezer for dinner so had an easy meal of gammon, broccoli in cheese sauce and a potato waffle.

I helped out at Petworth today, all bookshop volunteers went in, so nice to catch up with people i don't usually see. Unfortunately heavy rain meant I had some difficulties getting in due to flood water in one spot, I did get through after I saw similar size cars coming the other way (in the middle of the road) but I think my blood pressure rosed slightly! After heavy rain before I left I found a longer alternative route home as it had been almost at my limit at 10am.
i came home via the hospital where visitors to the unit were given masks, I was told flu and stomach bugs have arrived again. I almost wished I wasn't allowed in after hearing that! But I was glad I went EF wasn't in a good way, fear of the unknown fuelling the confusion. There was meant to have been a meeting yesterday but no one knew anything about it so i couldn't reassure her other than saying she would be staying out for a while.
