Dull, damp and grey. Supposed to be rotten tomorrow, gales & rain, so I guess this may be the best bit.I'm making a fresh loaf in the BM, should be in time for lunch. Trying a new-to-me recipe for a sandwich loaf, so fingers crossed. But most seem to work in the PanasonicLunch, if bread works, cheese + salady sarnieDinner, LO beef & dumpling thingy

Good morning everyone,
Another grey and chilly one here. Didn't get as far as making soup so lunch will be from freezer stocks, I took a 2 portion tub of turkey and veg out last night to defrost so that will do me a couple of days. Having not altered jeans for many, many and not being the most proficient seamstress I was delighted to manage to take up the hems while preserving the bottom seam.
Mind you it took me absolutely ages to get them pinned in place!
Dinner tonight will be folded omelette with sauce, rice and steamed veg.2 -
It feels very chilly as the workman is here with the back door open. I put the heating on and will have to close the living room door. My husband just went out and bought lunch as we can't use the kitchen. I'm having a falafel wrap, a smoothie and a pot of fruit from Tesco.2

Dull, grey and wet here too.
I picked up some YS celery the other day and this morning made a pot of soup; one portion for my lunch and two to replenish my freezer stash.
Dinner is the rest of the pancake rolls with some roasted broccoli and crispy kale.

Grey and cold here, didn’t actually rain but felt damp, brrr.
Bit of a manic Monday at work but got through it and managed a short walk at lunchtime to buy still warm, fresh bread 😋
Had some with smoked mackerel pate, cucumber and cherry tomatoes for lunch. Egg fried rice tonight with orange pepper, sugar snaps, baby corn and LO chicken.2 -
Not a bad day weather wise, well it was dry 🙂
Call from social Worker re EF this morning who was hopefully going to see her this afternoon, she is pushing for her to go home with carers having never met her! EF friend is a lot less confused and is eating and walking on zimmer more 🙂 she did call be numerous times this morning before 10.30am she was face timing not calling and my really bad signal couldn't cope, and not answering me when I called her back. I have hopefully managed to amend her settings to answer on tap not swipe. I gave up and popped in, then did her washing. After hospital visit I did a couple of errands outside of town.

Rotten weather, rain and grotty, not a day for EF to come home Brambling
Celery soup, reminds me I have celery lurking, it's the thin green sort one gets if it's delivered and not chosen by self in in store. Be OK for soup / cooking
Lunch, given the weather I think I'll nuke a jacket spud, with grated cheese filling
Dinner, RM MFO veggie lasagne, with extra cheese topping

Good morning everyone,
Oh new shiny new formatting. 😎
I hope appropriate care is put in place for EF Brambling, you may need to be very firm about the amount of support you will offer.
I hope those in the storm area are doing okay, it's pretty wild here but thankfully I don't need to go anywhere. DS2 said it was hard going when he walked H earlier and he's a substantial 6ft plus guy!
Second portion of the turkey and veg soup for lunch and tonight is Moroccan spiced salmon with roasted veg and Calvo Nero.

Although it’s another grey wet day with strong winds I think we're getting off lightly this time. Unfortunately I have to go out this afternoon for a hospital appointment, I’ll see how bad it gets but may order a taxi rather than risk getting soaked going for the bus.
I also managed to get some YS parsnips the other day so I’ve roasted them to put in the freezer. They can keep company with all the other parts of a roast dinner I have in there until such time as I feel like it - maybe this weekend.
Just had an early lunch of a ham sandwich & crisps and as far as dinner tonight I’m not sure when I’ll get back but I have everything I need for a quick puttanesca pasta.

I decided to give hospital visiting a miss todayi don't want anyone to assume I'll visit daily if they send EF home with carers, I've said numerous times that her neighbour and I aren't her carers. I did have several attempted calls from EF and when we did speak she was very confused again, I think she had a meeting with SW which has made thinks worst again, for some reason she was also convinced that the unit was closing and they were 'shipping people out' there has been flu and a virus in her ward of four so they have moved one person and aren't taking new patients in the unit. I'll go tomorrow to see if I can make out what she believes is happening and what actually is.
is it me or does the new format not allow you to edit a quote, I usually condense it down?
