Dull & waiting for the rain, which is due this afternoon, it's just washing Weymouth at the momentNothing exciting for meals today, amended my Asda shop for Wednesday, and also found the cauliflower has gone up, so I removed that while I was there.I've found online fresh veg is hit & miss, but it was worth a gamble on offer at 88p, but not at £1.19Lunch, summat on toastDinner, last of the LO cold roast pork, maybe with more salad bits, or if raining, AF chips for comfortNumerus non sum2

Good morning everyone,
Thanks Brambling and Wednesday, still a fair bit to go but I'm aiming for slow and steady. That is an excellent loss Wednesday.
I'd seen these Scotch eggs Brambling but will give them a swerve. I did have a lovely one made with smoked haddock when I was out once but I think the "wrapping" was a mix of fish, potato and a bit of cheese sauce. It certainly wasn't a low cal version lol!.
We both enjoyed the curry last night, I made the full amount of the sauce but only used two portions of it with the chicken and veg and there's a portion of curry for the freezer too unless DS2 wants it for lunch. My efforts to create some space in the freezer aren't going too well!
Yesterday ended up kind of disappearing, I wasn't firing on all cylinders and had a long nap in the afternoon and DS2 had to run an errand so the cleaning will need to get tackled today. The nap, an early night and a lie in seem to have curbed the lurgy and I think I'll be fine to meet up with a friend tomorrow.
Crumpets with poached eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms for brunch. Freezer raid dinner tonight to use up the chorizo, savoy and butter bean soup/stew I made a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, I didn't do much other than catching up on the laundry and enjoying a walnut whip or two with my cuppa.
The weather is a bit grey and windy today but ideal for catching up on some of the tv programmes I missed.
Lunch was salad with cottage cheese and beetroot.
Dinner is roast chicken with roasted broccoli, carrot and sweet potato.

Quite nice here this morning so got out for a walk, also picked up some bits I needed from little sainsbugs while I was out.
Ham pitta pizza with salad and coleslaw for lunch.Turned really wet this afternoon as forecast so spent some time making cottage pie (one for tonight and one for the freezer). Had tonight’s with green veg.1 -
I made chilli and rice for dinner and preserved the rest of the chilli in jars using the water bath canning method so I now have a few extra meals in the cupboard that just needs warming up straight from the jar and some rice, nachos or a jacket potato added.Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

Well done Wednesday that's good going.Wednesday2000 said:
I've lost two stone since February and I can't even say I have really noticed it, I did feel like one of my dresses felt a lot bigger when I wore it the other day, but that is about it!.I've still got a swollen eye lid, I think the second antihistamine I took last night is why I slept late this morning. I also ended up going back to bed this afternoon with a headache which kicked in after lunch, maybe due to the late wake up?Soup for lunch, three portions were frozen.Red fish fillet for dinner (that's what Waitrose calls it) not sure what its official name is? With fried rice and veggies I left off the salsa verde as I decided going bland may be for the best. It's been a fishy weekLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin3 -
I had to get up early for a delivery, but I went to bed very early anyway. I had my usual toast and Flora. I'm having homemade soup and baguette for lunch. I'm not sure about dinner, maybe something from the freezer.2025 GOALS

Good morning everyone,
Dry so far and I'm hoping it stays that way at least until I'm back from meeting my friend.
I'm enjoying a quiet cuppa before I go and sort out my hair and put some slap on. Not that I'll be able to do much with my chapped, red nose from having the lurgy. Thankfully we're not off anywhere posh, just a cafe for a cuppa, something to eat and a good natter. Lunch will likely be soup or a scone or a filled roll. Omelettes tonight with salad and AF chips.1 -
Wet night & morning, it may brighten later but I'm glad it rained at last, fed up with watering in October. And tomato blight has arrived, so that's also end of outdoor toms
Lunch, no ideas, may go for easy option & open a tin of soupDinner, defrosting some smoked mackerel fillets, so those, with boiled new spuds & salad bitsNumerus non sum2 -
A nice sunny day here and the temp is not too bad. I’m still managing to do without putting the heating on, which might have to do with someone living in the flat downstairs now, but we’ll see what happens when the temp really drops later in the week.
Lunch today was red pepper soup and rice cakes.
Dinner tonight is leftover chicken and roast veg.
