blue sky & sunshine for the moment, rain maybe later

Asda delivery arrived on time, with one minor sub, posh replaced a cheapo for the same price, I can live with that.  :)

Realised my gammon joint was on its BB date, so roasted that this morning, and used a few slices in a sandwich for lunch
Dinner, more gammon, probably with use up eggs & AF chips

Very chilly start here too, but turned out to be a nice sunny day compared to yesterday’s misty rain.

I noticed that tesco had some turkey legs if you are still looking Brambling.

Lunch was leftover broccoli souffle and tomato salad.

Dinner tonight is turkey koftas and cauliflower in curry sauce with brown rice.

We've had a nice day up until about 7pm when I got a shock when I went out to Di d it was raining, it still is.  I think tomorrow's bad weather has started early.

Its been a easy day food wise

Lunch was LO couscous, chickpeas and med vegetables I added some pan fried paneer cheese to it.  The paneer was a YS  cumin, chilli and turmeric flavoured it was down from £3.50 to £1.60 so I thought I would give it a try.  I enjoyed it enough to wish I popped a couple more packs in the bag.

Soused mackerel with potato and celeriac Boulangere for dinner

It is pouring with rain here. The workman knocked out the pipe to the sink so I have to call a plumber. Breakfast will have to be something that doesn't involve a lot of washing up. Maybe a PB or cheese sandwich.

Oh dear Wednesday, hope thats not too costly  :#

Very chilly start this morning and it’s way too cloudy for any sunshine to get through and warm things up a bit.

I used up leeks I had in the freezer, the last of the broccoli plus the stalk to make a couple of portions of soup to put back in the freezer. I’ve also got some celery soup cooking at the moment, I’ll throw in some stilton and have that for lunch and freeze any leftovers.

My winter vaccines are scheduled for this afternoon so I will prepare a cottage pie this morning so that I just have to heat it up later.

    Good morning everyone,
Hope it's an easy fix Wednesday. Also hope our Southern posters aren't battered by Benjamin.🤞🏻
Dry and fairly bright here but chilly.
I've admin to tackle and need to finalise tomorrow's Tesco order then I'll see what the day brings.
More of the cauliflower and leek soup for lunch and tonight it's Pinch of Nom's Moroccan Salmon with sweet potatoes and steamed veg.
I've succumbed to yet another cookbook which should arrive today. I'm looking forward to hopefully using my SC a bit more. Bored of Lunch: Healthy Fakeaways: Calorie-counted air fryer and slow cooker recipes: Amazon.co.uk: Anthony, Nathan: 9781529914535: Books

Late logging in, had to guide a computer-shy friend on getting an insurance quote after her insurance wanted double last years
A very successful job by MSE comparison, saved her £500! In fact, it turned out to be £100 less than she paid last year.

Missed my usual lunchtime, but had a later ham & tomato sarnie
Dinner, was going to be ham salad, but it's turned cold, so looking for something a bit more warming, maybe RM Chinese MFO?

Farway I received a text from a friend re her home contents renewal (she lives in a flat so no buildings) it had gone up to £90 a year, I triple checked that was yearly and told her to take it as I don't think it was worth the hassle in trying to save money on that 🙂 I had been there earlier sorting her TV for her and she forgot to ask me to look at it then.

You'll have to let us know if there are book has sonme good recipes Caronc, not that I need any more cook books

we seem to have survived Storm Benjamin it was a just little windy this morning but not too bad, we've had it a lot worst, I think it went over the top of us.

i finished the last of my batch cooking today, so a ping day rather than a cooking day, food the same as yesterday. I'm out tomorrow or I would have to cook 😁

lunch - couscous, chickpeas and med veggies with paneer cheese.  Dinner mackerel and potato Boulangere.

Completely forgot to post yesterday. Was another office day but didn’t have anything suitable for popping in a lunchbox so bought a pasta salad from the local supermarket. Made prawn, red pepper and sugar snap pea egg fried rice last night.

Binged 3 episodes of Mudtown, a slightly different take on a crime drama, quite good.

The storm wasn't that bad here. It really rained in the morning, but was fine later on in the day.

I got a takeaway last night and I'm still feeling full up. I'm just having some water and a Granny Smith apple. I was meant to be eating out for lunch but I will see how I feel.
