I went out to see Lee Hurst last night. I managed to trip up in my house when I got back and hurt my finger and my knee.☺️

I just went for a mooch around a charity shop and bought a Halloween cup, a top and a mac type coat.

When I got home I had a bowl of strawberries, toast with Flora and Marmite and a chocolate dessert pot.

I had a nut roast dinner yesterday at a restaurant and I fancy something like that today. I’m not sure I can be bothered to make it, however.

Nice sunny day here too, but a bit breezy and the temps still down in single figures.

Caught up on a few chores this morning and got a ragu sauce on to cook for tomorrow.

Lunch today was soup from the freezer.

For dinner tonight I’ll use up the second portion of yesterday’s pork curry, cauliflower rice and half a naan bread.

Yep, sunny and breezy here too, think the temperature got into double figures in the sun in the middle of the day.

Very productive lunchtime - popped sweet potatoes, carrots and ginger in the soup maker then walked to the library (about a mile each way) to swap book club books over. Bowl of soup and a toasted pitta when I got back, stirred a bit of coconut milk through the soup 😋

Out tonight so second helping of the creamy pork with noodles and freshly cooked green veg, nice and quick.

I was out with a friend at a local garden centre for lunch today and I got a delicious fresh pizza.  Only ate half so brought the rest back home, had a slice for supper and have bagged up the last two slices to take to work with homemade soup I made yesterday.

I know we shouldn't knock it before trying it but leek and potato soup (my favourite) sounds grim with lavender!

Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

Chilly but dry today I was glad I swapped out my duvet yesterday from 4 tog to 9 tog when I did my bedding.

I was on standby this morning for babysitting duty when my sister had to work for a couple of hours but wasn't needed. My nephews partner was due on the 19th she was at the hospital yesterday and went in again this afternoon to see if they can 'move things along' my nephew was two weeks late so baby obviously takes after him, little one was born on her due date so they had high expectations 🙂

I needed petrol and to add air to the tyres, I had a double nectar point voucher to use but seeing as Sainsbury's petrol is currently 4p more expensive than the garage on the way to Petworth I went there (I forgot Saturday and I was getting low) the low pressure light remained on so I popped into the garage on the way pass and they reset the sensor. I hoping the issue was due to it being colder 🤞

i made a big batch of chicken and veg soup from yesterdays stock (no lavender 🫣) and had a large bowlful for lunch.

I cooked a extra salmon portion yesterday which I had for dinner with chips and sweetcorn with a salsa verde type sauce

Lavender in soup does sound weird!

I just went to the pharmacist as I hurt my finger two nights ago. He said to strap it up and rest it. It was pouring this morning, but it is quite sunny and warm now. I just had some seeded bread with Flora when I got home.

Sun can't decide, in or out? Cold and breezy as well, so not a day for dawdling around outside

Still sticking with porridge breakfasts at the moment, with sliced banana and a blob of jam/marmalade.
It would be honey if it were not so expensive for the good stuff. I don't want to use the iffy blended supermarket's "honey". I may treat  myself to a jar of local honey for Christmas

Sign of the times, the three Wise Men now carrying Local Honey & a jar of Bovril  :D

    Lunch, sandwich, filling TBD
Dinner, MFO liver & mash. I have some LO mash so I may add that to it

    Good morning everyone,
And the third one a pack of mince Farway LOL!
Wet and wild here this morning though the wind is supposed to ease as the day goes on. Physio was a tad brutal yesterday so I'm for a gentle day of pottering to try and help it settle.
More of the chicken and chorizo soup for lunch and tonight it's JO's gingery, garlicky black bean mince with rice and either salad or steamed veg.

It’s not a very nice day here; I went for a trip a bit further south where the sun was shining and a noticeable difference in the outside temp there, shame I had to come back home.

Decided I wanted some hot food when I got back and had a potato waffle topped with a fried egg for lunch.

I let the ragu I made yesterday mature in the pan overnight, I’ll portion and freeze most of it and have some tonight with whatever pasta and veg needs using up.

Another sunny day but so windy! Popped out to buy a nice roll for tomorrow’s lunchbox so had a short walk. I also swam after work.

Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted English muffin for lunch. Salmon and spinach fish cakes with green veg tonight, on a mission to use some stuff from the freezer.
