Back to work today after a few days off.
I took some home canned leek and potato soup along with a slice of pizza that I brought home in a doggy bag when out with my friend yesterday.
I was stuffed after but was hungry again by late afternoon so had a creme caramel pot from T3sco.
Hungry again so I have a farmers market chicken and mushroom pie in the oven and will have some of that then take the rest to work tomorrow along with some microwaveable veggies
Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

I'll add fruit juice as well, can they carry four items 😁 I hadn't brought it for months and got quite a shock earlier.Farway said:It would be honey if it were not so expensive for the good stuff. I don't want to use the iffy blended supermarket's "honey". I may treat myself to a jar of local honey for ChristmasSign of the times, the three Wise Men now carrying Local Honey & a jar of Bovril
Farway I buy the cheaper honey when I cook with it / add to marinades. I brought a pot of local honey from a village just outside of town a short while ago at someone's gate my sister and I brought the last two jars, it was £5 but is a lovely tasting light honey and is being slowly enjoyed. A few years ago we went to a honey farm in Devon which was really interesting and we got to sample lots of different honeys depending on where their hives were, their heather honey from the moors was beautiful.i was called to help babysit little one this morning my sister wasn't feeling great, mum and dad were sent home from hospital just after midnight and went back in at 10am this morning where a big boy (9.6lb) was born very quickly afterwards. I stayed until about 4pm and left them watching Bluey 🙂
I realised about 6pm that I was disorganised for lunch tomorrow, it's half term so an extra day at Petworth I didn't want to take soup so popped to Waitrose for a few items. YS less than half price 2 stuffed sea bass and some sea bream fillets were an unplanned purchased now in the freezer.Toasted bagel and pate with HM crab apple and chilli jam for lunch with my sister. Dinner plans changed as I picked up a pack of Tiger Crevettes (aka king prawns) £3 instead of £7.50 she was marking them down again as I walked past. I brought a crusty roll and some watercress for a salad to go with them.I have a sore throat, I hope my sister hasn't overshared I have plans for the rest of the week!Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin2 -
I had to call up to book my cat in to be put to sleep as her kidneys have gone downhill. I booked it for Friday afternoon. She is over 20 years old now.
I just went for a walk in the rain to try and clear my head. I'm going to make myself some breakfast in a minute and a hot drink.1 -

Good morning everyone,
Oh Wednesday, how sad for you. It's such a hard thing to do even when you know it's the kindest option. <<hugs>>
Congratulations on the new baby Brambling, same weight as DS2 was though he was 3 weeks early. I'm very glad he didn't go to term!
Wild and wet again today, but due to dry up later before dipping to near freezing overnight. DS2 is in the office tomorrow so it could be a slow drive down.
I'm playing freezer tetris just now so plan to give them a bit of a sort out this week. I know there is some very old tubs of various bits that could probably do with being used, turned into something or binned. I think it's well over a year since I went through it! I did manage to find space for the remaining two portions of chicken and chorizo soup which we'll use up on Sunday. We're finding soup a really good option for weight loss especially on not hungry days so made a pot of carrot, courgette and coriander yesterday some of which will be lunch today. CFO tonight as DS2 is off to Glasgow for dinner, I'll see what I unearth from the freezer.2 -
Thanks guys xx2025 GOALS

My condolences Wednesday, I feel for you, I had to make the same decision a few years ago and it’s not easy.
I managed to get some washing out and almost dry but there’s a real chill in the air and the same as Caronc we’re expecting very low temp tonight.
Cheesy toast with a tomato salad for lunch.
Dinner is chicken kiev, baby potatoes and spiced roast cauliflower.

Sorry to hear your news @Wednesday2000 As a vet friend of mine once said, it the saddest but kindest act of love that we can do for them.
Congratulations to Brambling and family. I absolutely LOVE babies! Mine are all grown up now but I do have a DGS who is 2
He is an absolute treasure!
I took lunch to work but the chef at work is far to good for my own good and I got tempted by the roast chicken dinner with red wine gravy and had that for lunch instead. Pie and veg or soup bumped to tomorrow
Not particularly hungry but if I fancy something later it will probably be melba toasts with pate and homemade chutney.Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!
