    Thanks for the thoughts. xxx

I had a roll with Flora and some fresh fruit and a cup of tea for breakfast. It is pouring with rain here at the moment.

    Hello everyone.

Hope everyone is keeping warm and snug in this horrid weather.

I'm in Berks and it has been raining on and off all day.

Breakfast was a bacon butty at work :D

I took a yellow sticker beef lasagne from CoOp to work for lunch.  Would have been nicer if cooked in the oven but we only have a microwave at work.  Still, it wasn't too bad.  Not sweet like some ready meals these days.

Not really hungry this evening but will either have some home canned soup for supper or some crackers with pate/cheese.

@farway I had to google mouse traps cheese on toast!  Love it!

Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

That journey sounds awful Brambling, but going to get worse soon, I saw a bit about closing M27 while they install some over, or under, pass, Fareham way. Hope it's done by Christmas 'cos I'll be heading West then to DS & DD

I hate to be the bearer of bad news Farway but it's shut between J9- J11 both directions from the 24th Dec to 4 Jan.

I hope things went ok Wednesday and you're ok.

It's been a bit wet and windy today, I didn't go to volunteering as I didn't feel 100% first thing, too much driving yesterday meant a bad night sleep but after a morning snooze I bounced back. I had cancelled my shopping delivery so went to Lidl early afternoon for a few bits I wanted to see what they had for Japanese week.i wanted some panko breadcrumbs

Beans on toast for lunch. Prawn and veg stir fry with rice for dinner

I woke up and the house feels so quiet without my cat as my dog is at the kennel too. Apart from when I was away at university this is the first time I have been without a cat since I was 11 years old! It feels very weird.

I am ordering Ocado for tomorrow and I think I will have a toasted bagel with PB for breakfast with some strawberries. I'm going out today to distract myself.

Oh dear, that's me  :s Looking like diversion is the old A27 so not too bad except for the Fareham Viaduct mess. I used to travel that way daily before the M27 so at least I do know the way

I know that feeling Wednesday, my cat always sat on the same tread of the stairs waiting for me to come home from work, it took a long time to break the habit of looking up there for her when I came through the door.

I liked Farway’s idea of a crisp sandwich yesterday, so I popped out to the local shop to get some to put in a sandwich along with some gammon for my lunch.

Chicken and black bean chilli simmering on the stove for dinner tonight which I’ll have with some brown rice.

    Good morning everyone,
Yes the house will feel strange for a while Wednesday, going out for the day sounds like a good plan.
Dry and bright here this morning but with sporadic torrential showers. DS2 is getting to ready to meet up with DS! and DIL2B to walk pooches before returning here for lunch. Fingers crossed the showers hold off for a couple of hours. Soup, bread, roast chook and salad is the menu for lunch. Once I've finished my cuppa I'll pop the oven on to heat up and get the chicken sorted out. Dinner tonight is mini sliders using these Mini Mixed Roll Selection | M&S rolls with the burgers made from squishing together pork meatballs. We'll have those with salad and AF chips.

Lunch today was a farmer's market scotch egg - absolutely amazing!

Also bought some really good sourdough bread so had that with butter ad bovril, then cheese and shallots on toast for supper.

Really needing some veggies!  Tomorrow will be a busy day but definitely need to cram veggies in next week!

    Wednesday  <3

I met a friend for a cuppa and catch-up in town this morning and it was lovely walking through the park.  Our usual place closed so we popped into the M&S cafe.  I picked up some tiger rolls from their bakery section on the way out.

There was a firework display at the rugby club tonight which causes parking chaos because of a footpath short cut by the house so I made sure I was home before 5pm with his lordship safety shut in, it opened at 5pm so a few cars arrive early and his lordship has no road sense which isn't usually a too much of a problem in a close.  The fireworks were due at 8pm but didn't start until nearly 9.30pm, lots of grumbling on FB because it was so late with no explanations. I watched with my sister from the kitchen window.  His lordship stayed curled up asleep with out even a ear twitch

Bacon roll for lunch.  Stuffed sea bass with new potatoes and green veg for dinner

Tipping down when I woke up, but it's brightened up now to blue sky & sun and very soggy

    Completed my Asda order.
I had an Ocardo leaflet with discounts for three months, but the minimum order is £60 for the discounts to apply, hence still with Asda, no doubt as my bill gets nearer £60 the limit will rise as well  :(

    Lunch, sandwich, filling TBD
Dinner, HM cauliflower cheese and ??
