Good morning everyone,
Sounds like a hectic time at your sister's Brambling.
After being dry first thing it's absolutely tipping it down now. DS2 got caught in the first downpour and got completely drenched walking H. My cooker front is looking much better after a thorough knobs off scrub. I really must remember to do that job more often as it was pretty grotty behind the dials - eek!
The JO chicken with blueberries dish was gorgeous every element complimented the other. However the grain/lentil/pea mix made a huge amount there's quite a lot of that LO so will be the base for our lunches today or we might have instead of rice with this tonight Korean pork and red pepper stew | Tesco Real Food and have soup for lunch. The chicken and veg soup I made on Saturday is finished but there's a good selection in the freezer and plenty of tins in the cupboard so I'll hold off making more this week.3 -
Not a nice day here either so I jumped on an early bus to search out a very nice but pricey shoe shop only to find out they are closing down at the end of January :'( I may have to make another visit before then

I was getting hungry so picked up a few things from M&S food for a change; nibbled half a cookie on the bus back and very quickly snaffled a mortadella & coleslaw croissant when I got home.
For dinner I got some of their Spanish ham & cheese croquetas which I’ll have with some salad leaves and more of the coleslaw.

Rainy, dark drive into the office this morning.
Portion of the sweet potato and ginger soup with a cheese sandwich for lunch. Gnocchi puttanesca and green beans tonight.2 -
I have had an apple and a banana and some sparkling water. I’m not all that hungry as I had houmous, carrots and crackers late last night.
I took some bread out of the freezer to defrost but I’m not sure what to have, either a sandwich or a tin of soup.2 -
Dull & damp, but mild for the time of yearThe soup talk reminded me that the portion of HM veg I defrosted the other day was very tasty, it had improved, matured? since I froze it.Despite the weather it's salad again today. The smoked mackerel delivered yesterday 5th, is Use by today 6th, grrr, the one time i never checked at the door, I was so busy trying to remember to return the other bits date checking slipped by me.One thing that I must not let slip is renew my broadband on time, in order to keep the "discount". Job for later todayLunch, cheese & fresh onion sandwichDinner, rinse & repeat yesterday, warmed smoked mackerel, LO, warmed through, new pots + saladNumerus non sum2

Good morning everyone,
I hope you complained about the mackerel Farway, I hate it when very short dated stuff isn't highlighted as it should be!
A grey and "hanging there" kind of day here though quite mild. The morning seems to have run away from me, though I did get tomorrow's grocery order finalised. I need to crack on a get the daily chores done as later I want to have a proper hoover through. With both Frank and Ari having been here this week there's lots of lurking dog hair never mind the general debris Hector seems to attract!
Soup from the freezer for lunch and fridge gravel pasta with salad for dinner.2 -
I felt in need of a nice relaxing day at home. I caught up on a few minor chores and went for the easy options foodwise.
Lunch was another helping of the deli foods I picked up in M&S.
Dinner was a bung in the oven cauliflower grill with some brussel sprouts and asparagus.

Another dank, damp sort of a day. Seems to be a long week.
Quiche, baked beans, bread and butter for lunch. Popped a sweet potato in the oven before nipping out to an appointment early evening. Cooked some sausages and tenderstem when I got back, all served with some chimichurri 😋2 -
I forgot to post yesterday, nothing exciting happened 😁
I did some financial stuff this morning and then shredded enough to fill a black sack for bin day tomorrow. After lunch I popped around to my elderly friend as she had a couple of IT jobs for me to do.
Sardines on toast for lunch. Nasi Goreng for dinner with LOsLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin2 -
It has been feeling almost humid here. I have two appointments this afternoon so I'm going to have a smoothie and then a sadnwich with a cup of tea. I might take a protein bar with me in case I'm peckish in between appointments.2
