Another dull & grey start, maybe drizzle later so they say.
I thought about it, but when I went on line & read the customer reviews of same item it seems short dated is the poor normal.caronc said:I hope you complained about the mackerel Farway, I hate it when very short dated stuff isn't highlighted as it should be!I assume in store folk pick the long dated, so the short dated are left for the shopping pickers to grab as they go byAs it happens no harm done, but I'll check next time for sureI wonder if there is some problem with this in store? They have only recently re appeared & available on line, maybe some sort of stock control difficultiesLunch, scrambled eggs on toast, well it was until i saw Brambling's sardines and now I'm torn.

Good morning everyone,
Another gloomy, dark day here.
I ended up bumping my Tesco order until tomorrow as we are off to my sister's tonight to celebrate my nephew's birthday and there's enough milk etc. to cover us until tomorrow evening.
Soup from the freezer for lunch and the birthday "boy" has requested burgers and wings for dinner.2 -
We are shrouded in fog here today making everything seem grey and depressing but at least it still feels quite mild out there.
Last of the ham & cheese croquetas with salad for my lunch.
Pan fried salmon tonight with brussel sprouts and green beans.

It is horrible and dark here too, but very mild again.
i have just seen about 5 pics of burgers and fries on FB so now that is what I fancy for dinner.🤣2 -
Very mild here in Berkshire but, like everywhere, it is dark early. I cannot believe it is only 18:15. Feels like 9pm!
I made mushroom risotto last night with lots of YS mushrooms! so had that for my main meal today.
I have a few different homemade canned (aka bottled/waterbathed) soups in the larder if I fancy anything later.
Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

My stomach was growling in my physio appointment. I kept having to apologise.☺️ I went to an Indian restaurant straight after and had Chana masala, pilau rice and poppadoms. Very nice.

Another dank day here and then it rained all evening, still strangely mild though 🤔
Bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon for lunch. Was out for tea and cake this afternoon and dinner was tapas bits (got some 3 for £8 when I used the Waitrose free car park 😉)1 -
I ignored my wheezing last night when I put the bin out and was unfortunately up half the night with asthma, that hasn't happened for months 😕 typically I was sound to sleep when the alarm went off at 7am, I've been a bit bleary eyed today.Volunteering day so it didn't matter it was grey and damp. We spent far too much time watching the chaos outside the office window where a couple of blue badge holders parked on double yellow lines parallel to a cherry picker on the other side of the narrow road which only goes to a small but busy car park. Road was blocked traffic warden arrived then the police, the work men didn't appreciate having to move to be fair they were there first. After the police left we watch a old guy come out of the car park and hit one of the park cars before reversing and driving off 🫣 it made a quiet day entertaining 😁

Sort of sunny, but mild, could even clear the unripe figs off my tree if it keeps upSounds like chaos Brambling, and best watched from indoors.Round here the Christmas parking jams have started early, FB overflowing with the annual moans, all warranted, but as it happens every year for the same insurmountable reason, I would have thought it would have sunk in and the area avoided by nowLunch, it's tinned sardines on toast day at lastDinner, MFO, sweet & sour crispy chicken with riceNumerus non sum2

Good morning everyone,
Grey and showery here.
I had a lovely evening at my sister's but the food was quite rich and I had a grumbly tum overnight. I had already planned a light day anyway for today so it will be veg soup from the freezer for lunch and tonight it's the Hairy Biker's cod wrapped in ham with roast veg. I wasn't at all hungry when I got up but feel more like it after two mugs of tea so I'm just about to have some corn cakes with marmite (and more tea).
Tesco are due later with no subs or OOS, I've taken advantage of a couple of offers to buy a some booze-based Christmas gifts so that's off the "to do" list. Apart from the routine chores and some laundry I'm fancying a slothful day.2
