Much brighter here this morning which spurred me on to start the domestics so bathroom scrubbed, kitchen floor washed and loads of dusting and hoovering done. Went for a swim before lunch which was the end of the tapas bits and some nice bread.
Chilled afternoon with just a bit of ironing and food prep. Chimichurri chicken and butternut squash traybake with tenderstem tonight.1 -
Stay home and potter day for me, it was a bit dull and overcast here. My sister is here for a 'sleepover' as my nephew has friends staying over so she has turned down their offer to sleep on the floor and given up her bed. I did have to straighten the spare room and do the bed as well as blitz the bathroom after two days of volunteering.
egg mayo and the last of the seafood sticks in a sandwich for lunch. I cooked my sister a big roast dinner using the half price half leg of lamb joint from the freezer, four different vegetables plus potato and celeriac Boulangere instead of roast potatoes and some roasted garlic sweet potato cubes. No room for pudding and plenty of LOs 😋 cooking a roast for one is never quite the same 🙂Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1 -
The workman is here again. I have an appointment this afternoon but he will be leaving before then. I just had cream cheese on sourdough toast and a cup of Yorkshire tea.
i will have lunch before I go out but I’m not sure what yet. I got a Tesco delivery yesterday so I have lots of food in the house. It looks dull and like it might rain today. Yesterday was lovely weather.

Dark & drizzle and much the same for rest of the week supposedlyLunch, Filling TBD sandwichDinner, Defrosting a YS MFO ready meal chicken dinner, gradually depleting the freezer for any Christmas "bargains"Numerus non sum1

Good morning everyone,
It did turn into an okay day weatherwise yesterday but it's back to gloom and heavy showers today. It's a bit cooler as well.
My plan for this week and possibly next is to gradually deep clean and declutter the kitchen/conservatory. I can't manage a big blitz these days so it will need to be done in smallish chunks.
Yesterday I made a pot of butternut squash and tomato soup so lunch will be a bowl of that. Tonight it's spinach and tomato omelettes with salad and AF chips.1 -
We had quite a lot of rain early on but it's brightened up now so I’m taking the chance to get some washing on the line before the next lot arrives. I doubt it will completely dry but it’ll get a good shake in the wind.
I’m still using up freezer stock too, lunch is barley and butterbean soup and a slice of toast.
I made extra mashed pots yesterday so that I can do fishcakes tonight with the last of the Arbroath smokie I had in the freezer, t/s broccoli and a mustard sauce to go with them.

Bright start here but soon turned into another dank, damp day. Made myself go swimming after work so that I left the house and did something other than sit down. Also took out my frustrations from the slightly annoying last meeting of the day, better than drinking wine 😉
Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast for lunch. Used some of the LO chicken, butternut squash and chicken to make risotto tonight, served with sugar snap peas. There are LO LOs of course!1 -
It's been a wet day, quite heavy at times. I had to stay in for city fibre to make a return visit, frustratingly but unsurprisingly it was a repeat of a month ago. Two engineers unable to do anything as they need to add a channel up the garden, nothing added to their notes what happened previously 🤬 a email was received by sky saying give us up to 27 days, which is what happened last time and they then cancelled the order 🙄 I need a land line here due to a really bad mobile signal I may go looking around elsewhere as sky ignored what I said last week, I received £56 compensation last time so it looks like I could again!Cheese and coleslaw sandwich for lunch. LO lamb with onions, peppers etc and some spices with rice for dinnerLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1

dull, damp & breezy, typical November day again
Nice free money. Around here Toob are pushing hard as new kid on the block, and they have run their own wires so not reliant on existing networks. No idea if any good, but at least another optionBrambling said:I may go looking around elsewhere as sky ignored what I said last week, I received £56 compensation last time so it looks like I could again!Freezer clearing continues, rather nasty Asda cheapo Jumbo sausages have to get used today, advertised during summer as ideal BBQ items, probably meant to fall into the fiery pit & be cremated by the coals and not eatenLunch, something on breadDinner, the nasty sausages, eggs & AF chipsNumerus non sum1 -
It was really rainy yesterday. I ended up getting cabs as I had reiki and then an evening class. I’m going out for pizza later so I only had one slice of toast with a cup of tea.🍵1
