Sunny with some blue sky, looks very pleasant right now, with mellow browns & yellows

Decided on cauliflower cheese for today, I also have carrots & was thinking maybe roasted carrots & cauliflower, but chosen the cheesy option

    Lunch, TBD on toast
    Dinner, cauliflower cheese

    Good morning everyone,
Back to wet and windy today.
My sis is popping round soon to pick up some stuff I was printing for her. Our usual Thursday dinner is cancelled as she has a plumber coming out this evening. I'll freeze the now surplus lamb meatballs and sauce for DS2 and I to have on another occasion. Manage to get conservatory windows and doors cleaned inside and out yesterday though it took me all day! Lighter tasks today I think as it was a lot of bending and stretching.
Soup from the freezer for lunch and pasta with meatballs and salad for dinner.

Wet and windy here too, temp is way down to 7c but with the chilly Northerly wind feels like 3c….brrrrr  :(

Tuna and cucumber sandwich for lunch

Chicken & black bean chilli, with rice and ts broccoli.

Yes baltic here too, hasn't got above 6C and feels much colder. I've put the heating on!

I got home from my hair appointment and looked out the window and saw a rat strolling across my garden! :'( :s

The workman was here again so there is lots of rubbish piled up in the garden. Added to that I have been carrying my Jack Russell in and out on the lead so she doesn't get her paws dirty and her scent probably isn't that strong in the garden now. I hate rats with a passion as the student house I lived in had a rat problem as it was next to a river.

I just had some crisps as a snack staring out at the garden hoping it wouldn't reappear!

    Eek, Wednesday!

Started out bright and sunny but the grey returned late morning, temperature has dropped a bit too and will more overnight. It was at least mostly dry to welcome a high profile runner into her overnight stop village this evening, such an amazing feat, there was a great atmosphere.

Toasted bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese for lunch. Pasta with tuna, broccoli and roasted pepper paste/creme fraiche sauce for tea.

They do say we are never far from a rat  :# I'm like you and hate them, I have to turn the TV over if there is one on the screen.  I used to live in a bungalow (staff accommodation) where they were in the loft and you could hear them when laying in bed, rentokil were on a losing battle trying to defeat them.

It was a grey day until it started raining after dark so I tackled the spare bedroom today, lots of stuff in drawers and the wardrobe which needed rehoming or binning. I got side tracked with old photos some were binned and I played guest which baby my mum was holding 😁

Soup for lunch. Panned fried mackerel fillet with new potatoes and green veg for dinner

Another one with wet & windy, but I'm in the warmer bottom half of the country, so it's fairly mild so far

I was up earlier than usual, still dark at the time, so Ive made a banana loaf, and sampled some already. One of my better ones today

Lunch, TBD but banana bread will feature
Dinner, grilled pork loin chop, with side salad bits

Need to start on my Asda on line order, already fallen for the George sale and a two drawer AF is on the way for delivery later today  :)
I have been thinking about two drawer one and now seemed a good time. It's only the cheapo own brand but it'll do me, and more importantly, the drawers are dishwasher safe

If you find any that are bit faded, torn etc, or just want to tidy them up, the AI tools, like Gemini are superb for that. I was just doing some yesterday
Here I am, in 1958, was black & white, AI did the rest  :D
It took the ciggy out of my mouth though, not allowed in today's world  :o

    ^Looking good Farway.

I had a slice of toast with cream cheese before my GP appointment. I almost had to swim there with the rain and the puddles.

I’m about to make a lentil ragu with carrots and penne. I will make two portions if I can to have lunch for tomorrow.

    Good morning everyone,
Very dapper Farway. You were a good looking lad!
Dry today but bitterly cold. Three builders bags of logs arrived first thing so that will keep us cosy for a good bit. DS2 will stack them tomorrow.
Just waiting for Ari to arrive for an overnight stay but apart from Tesco arriving later no real plans. Soup from the freezer for lunch. Usual Friday tbc for dinner.
