I have a class this morning. I'm going to make a toasted sandwich before I leave. It feels much colder and I might need to bring my coat today.

First frost of the winter here, grass & roof tops frosted over, another one glad I don't have to go to work any more

Tried the new AF yesterday, just a couple of sausages, which cooked fine. I'm amazed at how quiet this one is compared to my old one. I still have to work out the separate drawer times & temps work, but no doubt it's easy once tried it.

    Lunch, some sort of sandwich
Dinner, also TBD, no fresh food until Asda tomorrow, so it's a freezer rummage for tonight

    Good morning everyone,
It's still really cold here but very wet too, unlike yesterday which was lovely though very icy underfoot day. I doubt we'll get any snow though it's cold enough.
I've still to catch up on celeb Masterchef, I do like GD so looking forward to it.
I had a lovely catch up with my friend at a local cafe we both like. We both had the carrot soup which was a clearly home made and generous portion but really quite bland which was a shame as their food generally is really tasty. It filled a welcome space though on a chilly day. I can recommend the folded egg dish I post yesterday though I used less sugar and added a splash of vinegar to the sauce. Definitely on the make again list.
Fridge bits for lunch and tonight I'm trying out JO's Fish Pie soup from his healthy eating book.

It’s been a nice sunny morning but rain/sleet due this afternoon, what with the really low temp that could make the roads a bit tricky later.

I made a pot of leek & potato soup this morning and had some for lunch along with an oatcake.

There’s a small piece of leek left to use up and I have some cooked salmon in the freezer so I’ll make a pasta dish with them and throw in some cream cheese and peas for a bit of colour.

JKS I think the bbc have edited it so she is the dominant one.  I recognise one of the contestants and that is because I'm old enough to remember Blue from their early days.

Ah, good point re the editing. I like her caronc but she was a bit much last night, hopefully she’ll calm down 😉

Surely, it’s young enough to know who Blue are Brambling 😂. He looks different so much thinner.

Filled pasta with tuna, sweetcorn and sun dried tomatoes for lunch. Too cold to go swimming so having a lazy evening. Will make prawn saganaki later and have with the rest of the rocket and the other olive focaccia.

I put the heating on for the first time today, can't complain seeing as it's nearly December.  My sister was complaining about having to deal with the car at 7 this morning 🥶

I waited until it was a bit warmer to go out late morning, I had a carboot load of stuff to drop off at a couple of charity shops, the only one who takes fabric doesn't sell clothes but you can drop off at their warehouse near me, I did drive out to one at a charity run garden centre as I could park outside the door, otherwise it's a heavy walk into town from the car park. I had planned to wander around outside as their apprentices make both wooden and metal garden stuff but there was heavy rain just as I unloaded the car so it was a quick potter inside and avoiding their lovely cakes in their cafe.

Cheese and ham roll for lunch. LO chicken and orzo traybake for dinner.

I made a nice dinner last night - vegan sausages, a jacket potato, steamed veg and I found some Yorkshire puddings in a health food shop so I had one as well. I forgot the gravy and the stuffing as I was half watching a film at the time.

It is very rainy and wet here. I just had a leftover sausage cold and I'm about to make a smoothie. I have some leftover steamed carrots so I might add them to a tin of soup as I think I have carrot soup in my cupboard. I will have toasted sourdough with the soup.

Tonight is pizza. I have a Tex Mex one in the freezer and I might pimp it up with added toppings.

Cold and windy here, in fact it's been snowing  :o , the big wet stuff, but it's not settled

Luckily my Asda delivery arrived before the snow did, and all packed away.

Lunch, tinned soup weather, plus some croutons in the new AF
Dinner, freshly delivered, RM MFO stab & ping, choice of three, no idea which one will appeal come the time, Italian or Chinese

    Good morning everyone,
Watched the first celeb Masterchef and yes very GD prominent but I though she came across well. I only recognised one of the contestants though!
The JO fish pie soup was lovely a kind of fish pie meets Cullen Skink vibe which ticks all the boxes for me. I made about 2/3rds of the recipe which was to serve 4. I was expecting enough LO for a couple of light lunches but the amount I made yielded 4 generous portions so I'm freezing two for soupy Sunday.
Fridge bits for lunch and tonight it's another portion of the Moroccan lamb meatballs from the freezer with pasta and salad. I'm getting my hair cut late afternoon so want something easy for dinner.

Very wintery here, it’s been snowing most of the morning but the sun has finely gotten through. I’m hunkered down at home catching up on those tasks that have been on the “To Do” list for a while but I kept putting off  :)

Another helping of leek and potato soup for lunch today, the other two portions went in the freezer.

Steak & chips tonight, yum, yum.
