Yep definitely gone into winter mode here; cast off the 4.5tog and put the 9 tog duvet on the bed. A frosty night last night so the heating was definitely needed this morning.

I made a generous portion of soup for lunch using up broccoli that was beginning to go yellow and a bendy carrot along with some spices and seasonings.

Aldi has portobello mushrooms in their super 6 offers so dinner tonight is this

If you find any that are bit faded, torn etc, or just want to tidy them up, the AI tools, like Gemini are superb for that. I was just doing some yesterday
Here I am, in 1958, was black & white, AI did the rest  :D
It took the ciggy out of my mouth though, not allowed in today's world  :o

Thanks Farway I know one of my sisters has some old family pictures given to her which would benefit.  Caronc is right you were a dapper young man🙂 is your new airfryer a stacking one?

Usual Friday volunteering today so it didn't matter that it has been raining most of the day, it did mean a quiet morning before afternoon madness :#  Next week they have forecast snow for Thursday, I'm hoping they are wrong although a lot can change in a week with the weather ❄️

Chicken and coleslaw roll for lunch.  Lasagna from the freezer for dinner, I must check to see how many portions are left, it was a particularly good ones😁 or maybe it's maturing in the freezer 😋

Sunny and looking pleasant so far
Not sure I like the Snow Thursday bit Brambling, that would be a surprise round these parts

No, it's side by side drawer. I have horizontal worktop space, not upright, with overhead cupboards
Not yet arrived, I had a message from Asda yesterday, delayed, and now just had  a message from Yodel, it's 20 stops away, arriving before 1300  :)
At least, unasked, Asda have refunded the delivery cost by way of making amends
TBF the communication and updates have been good, may not be the news I wanted but at least I was kept updated

Lunch, grilled tinned sardines on toast
Dinner, more grilled pork loin chop, plus HM AF chips. Using old AF for the moment, I want to get basket liners for the new one before I use it

    Good morning everyone,
I'm really liking my two drawer AF, hope you do too Farway.
Yes N2BT winter does seem to have arrived. DS2 is busy stacking logs and DS1 & DIL2B are popping by soon as they were down this way and have a pack of Heirloom tomatoes from Costco for me. They're on a hi and bye though as need to head back to Glasgow for early afternoon. For the rest of the day it's chores and I might make some soup for lunches. Lunch today is tbc and tonight it's a cheaty katsu style curry used a frozen chicken grill/burger which we'll have with veg and rice or chips.

I was still hungry yesterday and ordered an Indian takeaway in the evening. Yum.

I am going out to a charity shop once the workmen have left and I will eat brunch later, I am going to have tofu scramble on sourdough toast. I have leftover lentil penne for lunch as it made three portions yesterday. I will make a salad too.

I'm not sure about dinner yet.

Not so chilly this morning, there must have been plenty of cloud cover sadly clearer skies forecast for tonight  :#

Lunch is the remainder of the tinned tuna in a sandwich with cucumber and lettuce.

Tonight I’m making a gammon, leek & mushroom pie with roast asparagus on the side.

More grey & dull, still quite mild though

The AF arrived about midday yesterday, not used it yet, just unpacked and on the worktop, looking posh & putting the rest of the kitchen to shame.  ;)
I've ordered some silicone inner basket liners for new AF, my current ones are round and this new AF is oblong

Made a fresh loaf, which is also on the worktop, cooling for lunch

Lunch. cheese & salad bits sarnie
Dinner, grill the last pork loin chop, with HM AF chips. Maiden voyage of new AF if the liners arrive in time

I use my air fryer daily. I hardly ever use the oven anymore.

I just had toasted sourdough with flora and vegemite. It looks like a cloudy, but mild day here. I am making jacket potatoes with a big salad and vegan "steaks" later. The Planted range that I haven't tried before. I am about to have a bath and get dressed.

Swings & roundabouts here; we have beautiful sunshine & lovely clear skies but it’s baltic. I’m taking it bad with how quickly the temp has dropped after such a long mild spell. Caught up on a few chores this morning trying to keep myself warm.

I’ll have another portion of the gammon, leek & mushroom pie for lunch today that leaves two portions for the freezer.

Tex-Mex style sweet potatoes & peppers with halloumi for dinner tonight.
