    Good morning everyone,
Sunny but decidedly chilly. DS2 popped the heating on when he came back from walking Hector first thing as it was only 14C in the hall and colder in the front room he works from! I think when I next strip my bed I'll swap duvets for a heavier one. My sis is due to collect Ari and will no doubt stay for a cuppa and a natter then I'll tackle some domestics. I was fairly slothful over the weekend so there's a few things needing done.
Cooked extra veg last night to turn into a quick soup for lunch. Chicken thighs are defrosting to make Yoghurt Chicken curry for dinner.

It is sunny, but very windy. I opened all the windows as usual this morning and a microfibre towel I keep on the upstairs banisters came floating down the stairs. I didn't know what it was!  :D

I have had a toasted pitta with avocado and I'm about to make a smoothie. I'm trying to use up food from the freezer and cupboards so I'm making either spag bol again or chilli with potato wedges to use up a packet of veggie mince in the freezer.

    Nice & sunny morning

Minor panic, the computer won't connect to the internet, so I've had to switch to my spare W11 desktop, which I bought a bit back when I had PC troubles. I may stay on this one now, once I've sorted out my back-ups.

    Lunch, sandwich, filling TBD
Dinner, the LO turkey breast + stuffing + salad bits

Chilly start here too and I think the maximum temp today is 14c but the sun is shining so not all bad.

Mostly odds, ends and leftovers today =

I’ll have a cress, lettuce and cucumber sandwich for lunch, followed by a perfectly ripe pear  :)

There’s cooked chicken and leftover mashed potato to be used, so I'll make a pot pie for dinner tonight with leeks, carrot and green beans on the side.

  • Another sunny, crisp autumn day here. Was really quite warm in the sunshine so load of bedding dried on the line 🙃

Spinach and ricotta tortellini with tuna, sweetcorn and sun dried tomatoes for lunch. Swimming this evening so a quick and tasty prawn, pepper and pea egg fried rice tonight.

Thanks for the translation N2BT I did wonder if that was what it was.

Back to tee shirt weather today, it was nice weather until it clouded over late afternoon, although we had some black clouds it never rained.

My sister popped around after dinner for a cuppa and a chat but other than that a lazy day, I just had to clear up after his lordship knocked over a full glass of water from my side table.  Who said cats were graceful had obviously never met my tabby menace! at least this time I had no panic over electrics!

Pastrami and cream cheese sandwich for lunch with a tomato salad.  Cheese and coleslaw jacket potato with salad for dinner

  • I might make spaghetti al limone tonight as I have an online workshop. It’s very quick and simple.

Last day of work today. Won’t miss it.

Need to finish reading my book. It’s rather good and easy to read. Oh to have more time to read!

Another one with sun, but a cold wind is blowing.

Forced move to my new PC, lost Internet for some reason on the old one, so spent yesterday afternoon transferring programmes over, not finished but enough to get by.

Lunch, Beans on toast sounds appealing, not had that for ages
Dinner, still using up the LO turkey breast, probably with AF chips & salad

Not too bad a day here, not as cold as yesterday so thats okay.

Thanks for jogging my memory, I love that pasta dish and first had it whilst on holiday in Amalfi. I’ve added it to my cooking “To do” list  B)

I’d managed to accumulate £60 on my nectar card so decided to unlock it and go on a spending spree in Sainsbugs clothing dept. I managed to pick up a few autumnal/winter warmers and only had to add £1.04 of my own money so I’m very happy.

No lunch to speak of but munched a banana waiting for the bus.

Dinner is gammon steak, pineapple, AF chips & peas.
