Lovely bright autumnal start to the day but turned showery later on, and warmer oddly.Got the towels that didn’t dry yesterday finished off on the line (they’d been on the airer overnight). Today’s load of sheets and pillowcases got mostly dry outside, they got rained on at least once 😂
Mostly productive work day and been for a swim. Just catching up on Bake Off.
Had the other half of the wild rice pouch with tuna, cucumber, capers and avocado for lunch. Prawn and sugar snap pea Thai red curry with noodles tonight.1 -
I didn't sleep well last night, tummy was a little grumbly so I wasn't happy with a 8am call which I hung up on, one of those saying they are from a energy body or company 🙄. Tummy was unsettled enough to stay close to home this morning although I felt well otherwise.
long call with one of my sisters this afternoon, she has a birthday coming up and my BIL was 82 early summer so we were covering LPAs and the benefits of joint savings over them each having separate savings accounts (old school). It was just as well I had gotten myself a cuppa just before she called 🙂 putting volunteering training to good use!
To settle my stomach i justified making a small batch of blueberry scones this morning and had a couple for lunch before freezing the rest. Emergency tin of tomato soup from the cupboard with toast for dinner.

Sunny and reasonably warm, supposed to be good until Sunday, which will enable me to potter and tidy the garden bitHope tum settled Brambling, I know exactly what you mean, dare not risk being in the wrong place, just in case.Fancy getting marketing calls at eight AM, but I suppose for the caller they are on a clock & have to make so many calls or not get paid, not that it helps you at 8AM.My Asda website problems got sorted, it was my Ad / cookie Blocker.Something must have changed because I did nothing to it. I've had to set to Auto turn off for the Asda site.Made another loaf in the BM this morning, ready for lunchLunch, salad sarnieDinner, defrosting a HM roast chicken quarter, with new spuds & salad bits

Good morning everyone,
Hope tum has settled Brambling.
Grey and showery her but much milder. Both pooches are snoring loudly, clearly shattered after a long walk first thing while it was dry!
Tesco coming later but apart from some domestics no real plans.
There's some baked beans and mushrooms LO so they'll form the basis for lunch. Dinner is usual Friday tbc.1 -
It feels like summer again here. I had to close the curtains on the south facing side to cool down the house.
i have had a nectarine and a banana so far. I need some proper breakfast.1 -
Another office day today so missed the nicer weather. Oh well, got lots done and enjoyed interacting with people in real life 😂
Took a lunchbox of orzo pasta salad with feta, olives, cucumber, sun dried tomatoes and pesto dressing. Turned the other night’s LO fajita filling into a quesadilla tonight and had with lime dressed rocket and avocado salad. And 🍷, well it is Friday!

Tum settle down thanks so I was able to go volunteering today, typical it was a lovely day and I was indoors. We weren't too busy so I finished by 4pm.I didn't organise lunch last night so popped to Sainsburys which is behind the office for a sandwich and snacked on some office biscuits. I remembered why I'm not keen on SM sandwiches!
Portion of lamb and aubergine curry from the freezer with some rice, I keep some of the little pots of Veetee rice in the house for convenience as I know their not very MSE but one pot is CFO whereas the sachet does me two meals so I end up with LOs. Idea for when I cba after volunteering 🙂 now I'm hoping the curry wasn't a bad idea 🤞🫣Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1 -
I made penne with marinated aubergines, courgettes and peppers for lunch yesterday so that will be my dinner later with the leftovers. I have a class this morning so I have a packed lunch - veggie sausage rolls, lemon cookie and a banana. I was going to take some tomatoes, but I didn't have space.2025 GOALS

Having a bit of a chase around to find the forum, keep getting “Not Found” when following links.Back to dull weather again, but at least I managed a spell in the garden yesterday PM, just need to get the garden wheelie around the front for Tuesday collectionAnother must do task is finalising the Asda delivery list, which prompted me to have a good freezer rummage, found a few Use Up items for the next few weeksLunch, last of some pate + salad bitsDinner, Use Up, found a ready to roast Christmas turkey breast, so that, plus well past BB [2023] frozen Aunt Bessie roasties. Presumably all from some planned Christmas dinner I never made. Some frozen veggies and I'm all set for the festivitiesNumerus non sum1

Good morning everyone,
Dry just now but heavy rain due this afternoon. DS2 has the pooches out for a long walk while it's dry. DS1 and DIL2B will pitch up at some point to collect Frank.
Lunch is tbc, possibly a BLT wrap. Dinner tonight is a spicy chicken grill topped with mozzarella and quick pickled onions in a ciabatta roll with salad and AF chips.1
