Cool start and a touch of a red sky this morning but nice and sunny at the moment although we're also supposed to get rain and wind by early evening.

I forgot to post yesterday, I got distracted looking for insurance quotes and mobile phone deals. But I did have my previously made moussaka for dinner and to make use of the oven being on I made a quiche for tonight which I’ll have with potato wedges and ss peas.

I’ve had a pineapple ripening on the windowsill for about a week and at last its started to smell like it should, so lunch today is a good old “retro” cheese and pineapple salad  :)

  • Started out as a lovely autumnal day but has been chucking it down since mid afternoon. Day out to a stately home so did gardens before lunch and house after 🙃

Soup from the tea room for lunch. Pasta with tuna, broccoli, cherry tomatoes and pesto tonight.

Lazy day here recovering from two volunteering days, I caught up on last night of the proms and loved  Bohemian Rhapsody it was nice to see Brian May play.

it was definitely cooler today I wore socks and put a cardi on.  Petworth has advised it's closed tomorrow due to the weather, I've just seem my sister out and the weather is definitely blowy so looks like a stormy night.

LO chicken for lunch with salad.  Easy dinner of potato wedges, eggs and beans

Sunny but dry & windy. Feels quite cool as well.

Still remaining lurgy free, so hopefully it was just something passing by.

Hope to make a start on my Tax return today, mine's not complicated, just PIA to sit down & do it

    Lunch, BLT sandwich
Dinner, either eat or bin the LO lamb stew.

    Good morning everyone,
It's a marginally better day today after some awful weather over the weekend. Yesterday heavy rain started early afternoon and didn't stop it was cold too and we lit the stove late afternoon. Cool this morning, I can see the heating being set to come on in the morning for a bit soon. Admin and domestics on my to do today.
The cod in Parma ham recipe last night was lovely. We both enjoyed it and there's no LOs. Lunch today will either be soup from the freezer or cheese and crackers. Easy one tonight of yoghurt lamb curry from the freezer with rice (also from the freezer) and salad.

It did get a bit wet and blustery last night but a lovely sunny morning so far although more rain is forecast later.

I got the insurance sorted this morning but cba straining my brain to consider what might be the best mobile phone deal for me.

I’m also eating from the freezer. Aside from the pineapple & salad, everything else is coming from there.

    L - Ham & pineapple salad

D - cauliflower cheese, chunky fish fingers, peas.

I tested the heating last night and it works. It feels sunnier today, but very windy.

I just had a toasted bagel with Flora and Marmite and I'm going to make a smoothie. I have potatoes that should be used so I'm going to make jacket potatoes with baked beans, cheese and salad later.
