  • Properly cold here today, heating has been on a bit! Lots of rain too 😕

Finally did a couple of tasks that have been on my need to do list for a couple of weeks (got overtaken by urgent rubbish for a while) and ending the week in a fairly good place.

Stopped raining and brightened up late afternoon so had a nice walk after work.

Mezze for lunch - gigantes plaki, olives, feta, houmous, cucumber sticks, toasted pitta. Sausage and spinach gnocchi tonight, and 🍷!

I was volunteering all day so of course it's been sunny all day 😁 I didn't finish until 5pm and after sitting all day I've fat ankles and feet 😕 hopefully standing all day tomorrow wouldn't make them worst.

cheese salad for lunch.  LO squash risotto for dinner so no cooking required🙂

Horrible weather this morning, grey, dark, wet & windy. I've even had to put the light on indoors this morning, no heating needed just yet though.

Luckily I picked most of my apples yesterday, and these are long keepers, supposed to keep past Christmas, although I'm not sure if I've enough for that.

Lunch, last of the tined salmon & salad sarnie
Dinner, use up LO lamb stew

    Good morning everyone,
Sunshine and thundery showers here and only just in double figures. I'm hoping it dries up a bit as I'm meeting my sister in town for a sandwich lunch at a cafe we both like.
Stove and chimney all serviced and inspected for another year, it always feels that Autumn is properly here when this gets done!
Tesco are due later, one OOS item (courgettes) which I need for tonight so will get when I'm out.  Trying these for dinner tonight Mediterranean beef burgers - Recipes - Hairy Bikers

I felt so cold when I finished my reiki session yesterday even though I was covered with a blanket and so I ordered a taxi home. It did start to rain as I was going home. I had a hot shower and got into my PJ's when I got back. I have woke up with a cold today, well, a sore throat at least. I have been around a lot of people this past week. I just had a quick sandwich and I am about to have a bath and then start my library book. I might have a hot drink too.

  • Bright and breezy most of the day here, was supposed to turn wet mid afternoon but actually just the odd shower late afternoon.

Lazy start but did then clean the bathroom late morning before early lunch of scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast. Early lunch because was out with family this afternoon, mostly outdoor so glad the weather held 🙃

Sweet potato, spinach and chorizo hash with basil chimichurri tonight. Extra sweet potato roasted for work lunches next week ☑️

We had heavy rain this morning there was a lot of surface water when I drove to Petworth, luckily the rain stopped about half way there.  It was blue skies to drive home 🙂

I finished about a hour earlier than usual but survived the day and enjoyed the walks from the carpark to the house with no stick, just carried folded just in case.

i took some cooked chicken from the freezer and made carnation chicken last night for lunch, I mixed in some cooked pasta for the carbs and had with a watercress salad.

Lasagna from my batch cooking day on Thursday for dinner, afternoon a snooze

Dull, with drizzle on the way, with worse to come. Not a day to be out unless wrapped up.

There's lurgy going round again  :( . I had the shivers and itchy throat yesterday, so had L*ms*p before I went to bed, slept well & so far, all bits crossed, feel fine this morning, and hope it lasts.

    Lunch, salad sarnie
Dinner, I still have LO lamb stew, I can see that getting binned, just don't fancy it TBH. So could be sausages, eggs & AF chips

I woke up feeling much better today too Farway. I had such a horrible throat thing last October and my neighbour said everyone at her work had it too so I'm glad it wasn't anything like that. It is a reminder that I need to book my flu jab!

I'm about to make a smoothie and throw in as much nutrition as I can into one drink, frozen fruit, fresh fruit and greens. I made myself a homemade tomato and fresh basil soup yesterday so I am going to have that with a buttered baton for lunch.

    Good morning everyone,
Glad you both seem to have flung off the lurgy Wednesday and Farway.
The weather was so awful yesterday that my sis and I decided to postpone lunch until Tuesday so I just had a tin of soup instead. Dry so far today but the rain is to return again this afternoon. I'll do the bin run/greenhouse once I finish my cuppa. Plans for today are to tidy the "tins" shelf in my larder cupboard.
LOs for lunch and tonight it's cod loin wrapped in Parma ham with various veg and baby potatoes.
