I went out this morning after having a banana and was going to buy something to eat after my class. I helpfully left my wallet at home so I only just had a sandwich now when I got home. I was so hungry!

  • Another sunny, autumnal day here but only really saw it out of the office windows 🙃

Lentil, roasted sweet potato and goat’s cheese salad for lunch. Just had creamy pesto, tuna and tenderstem broccoli pasta, squeeze of lemon juice really lifted it.

    Good morning everyone,
Dry, bright and chilly here this morning.
I'm expecting DS1 to arrive shortly as he's dropping Frank off as they are away for a few days. Both pooches will be mayhem for a few hours but as it's dry I can chuck them into the garden to tire themselves out!
Apart from a few chores and a possibly some admin if the info I need arrives I've no real plans.
LO salmon traybake for lunch. JO's gingery, garlicky black bean mince for dinner with rice and steamed veg.

Late morning, my Asda delivery needed sorting & putting away

Had one sub, large chicken instead of medium, no idea what's gone on but only charged me a couple of quid for it so no complaints from me.

Lunch, grilled cheese on  toast + pickle
Dinner, last of the LO turkey breast, AF chips + salad bits

Chilly start but turned out nice again. I had planned to go for a long walk in the sunshine but woke up with a twinge down my left leg so I’ll indulge in a restful day, catch-up tv, reading and only the necessary cooking required.

Lunch is a portion of soup from the freezer.

For dinner I’ll do a pilaf with last night’s leftover gammon and add some onions, peppers, green beans and whatever herbs & spices I fancy.

Definitely a feel of autumn today even with the lovely blue sky, I'm happy at night the cooler weather means I'm sleeping with the summer duvet but I'm no longer spending the night first too hot then too cold.

The restorer came and picked up my chair and mahjong set to repair, both are being restored for sentimental reasons he said it will be four or five weeks as I'll fit them around bigger jobs.

I topped up on cat supplies and used £4 of vouchers, i replaced a food dish which my sister lost and he's frightened of it 🤷🏼‍♀️ its only a small china dish, he use it when he's hungry as it has his biscuits in, I've appeased him with two catnip mice.

pastrami and tomato sandwich for lunch.

Home from visiting a friend was via the chippy for my annual cod and chips TBH they taste better on the beach!

Up while it was still dark, couldn't sleep!

Sunny with chilly breeze, the first porridge of the winter, I added some diced own apple to it

    Lunch, more toast, topping TBD
Dinner, the huge chicken I have in the slow cooker, I thought it was possibly too heavy to chance in the oven with my weak old wrists and hot fat
It only just fitted in the SC but got the lid on with a decent seal

Depending on the result, maybe with salad or just chips

I couldn’t sleep last night either Farway.

It definitely feels cooler, although it has been very bright and sunny. The sky was beautiful yesterday in the park with all the autumn leaves on the trees.

I had a toasted bagel with marg and a bowl of grapes. I had a cup of chicory too.

I have booked tickets for a show tonight. I was going to go out to dinner, but I fancy chip shop chips instead!

I have the dentist this morning and I might have soup and bread for lunch.

Another nice sunny day here and I’m still managing to resist putting the heating on first thing  :)

I had some veg that needed using so I got a pot of soup on early, which I’ll have for lunch as well as replenish my freezer stash.

Corned beef hash with baked beans tonight.

    Good afternoon everyone,
I'm not quite sure where the morning went! That said I've sorted out my Tesco order, done some admin and blow dried and straightened my hair along with the usual daily chores so not a wholly slothful one.
    Bright but cool here today.
Lunch was LO spicy mince and veg. My sis is coming over for dinner tonight, I'm making JO's sausage pasta which we'll have with salad and crusty baguette.
