I woke up late as I had a class last night so I had to get a taxi to my appointment this morning as it was pouring with rain again. It was sunny when I left, but it is back to looking like rain again. It feels quite autumnal.

I want toast with Flora and marmite, but I have to buy bread! I didn't remember when I was out.

The rain unfortunately passed us by yesterday and SEPA are getting a bit twitchy because here on the east coast we haven't had rain for such a long time and reservoirs are getting very low  :o

The piece of salmon I had last night was quite big so there’s enough leftover to have with some salad in a wrap and a drizzle of the remaining yoghurt sauce.

I had planned to try the Senegalese curry tonight but the rest of the cauli needs using before it starts to discolour, instead it’s gammon steak, cauliflower cheese & potato wedges.

Had plenty of rain yesterday, at last, some more may arrive this afternoon, so I hope to pick the ripening toms before it does

Apples, all stewed, now need portioning for the freezer.

Lunch, grilled cheese on toast + pickle
Dinner, found well past BB frozen mince, defrosted & now in a S Cooker savoury mince thing with jar of past BB Bolognese sauce.
I added some carrots, spuds & onion which hopefully will improve the taste of cheap, Covid time, mince.
Maybe have on its own or with LO mash

    Good morning everyone,
    Still showery and gloomy here.
I had an excellent evening with my friends though a tad too much wine! Thankfully I'm okay this morning and had the best sleep I've had all week!
Family here for dinner tonight, my sis actually hosting it here as I couldn't manage her stairs just now. She's cooking an "Italian Feast" so we will be well fed. I just need to make sure the kitchen is clear for her to descend this afternoon and the fridge is reorganised. Lunch will either be poached or scrambled eggs.

We had a storm here yesterday evening. The sky was a weird yellow colour beforehand. I've seen lots of pics on FB that local people took.

I woke up ravenous and I had toast and a chocolate bar.

I am going to batch cook pasta today as I took some leftover sauce out of the freezer last night, either penne or orzo with roasted vegetables and Quorn pieces.

We’re still hanging on to the dry sunny weather here but doubt it will last too much longer.

Met up with a friend, browsed around a couple of CS then a cuppa and a toastie for lunch.

I forgot to take chicken out of the freezer for tonight, that means it’ll be an easy & quick meal of pesto pasta with peas  :)

It rained most of the day here however it did pause to allow me to walk from the carpark to town and back.  it's the first time since my op I've driven more than around the block, it's only a couple of miles each way and I managed to park next to the disabled parking spot to benefit from the hatching next to it when I got out.  I met a friend for a tea and catch up, I didn't buy anything other than a small baguette and some prawns for lunch in M &S.

my sister popped around this evening and hoovered my stairs for me 🙂 she managed to time it so I had just put away my SM delivery and raided the new pack of biscuits.

prawn and salad half baguette for lunch.  LO AF fried chicken with salad in the other half of the baguette

Sunny & drying out after a day of rain, like Brambling. Needed it though.

I just fancied a cup of coffee yesterday, but the instant coffee was so old it had turned grey !  :open_mouth: Not a big coffee drinker, as you may have guessed.
I suppose ideally single sachets would be best, the type you find in hotel rooms, but I don't want to buy dozens of them, and certainly not getting some Pod machine for my couple of cups a year.
Just had a quick search, seems singles come in packs, which work out more than buying a small jar & then binning it. . No easy answer, except stick to tea or water.

Lunch, HG pears, ploughman style with cheese
Dinner, defrosting salmon fillet, with AF LO boiled new spuds + salad bits

    Good morning everyone,
Dry, sunny but very blowy here just now. It's supposed get quite wet and stormy this afternoon.
My sis cooked her socks off and a feast is was, many dishes but not huge amounts so she's not swamped with LOs. Most of the clearing up was done last night so I just need tackle the residual bits and put the kitchen back to order. After having rich food the past two days I'll be eating plainly today, lunch is tbc but for dinner I'm defrosting chicken legs which we'll have roasted with new potatoes and steamed veg.

It is nice and bright here today. I just had a bread roll with Quorn ham. I have the rest of the orzo pasta I made yesterday to have for lunch.
