A running errands and getting organised sort of a day. Weather overcast and muggy but got a load of towels dried on the line.

Toastie and a cuppa for lunch while out and about. Used up new potatoes and the last courgette in a traybake with salmon, capers and lemon tonight.

i was invited to book my flu jab which I had to do within the next 7 days, so that's done for the beginning of October.  It seems winter is on its way!
Blimey, time flies by, doesn't it? Not had my reminder yet. Last time it was done at same time as Covid, so maybe the same this year?

They haven't offered me the covid this time so I see what happens when I go in, they may offer it then.

Big swollen ankles and feet again today, not happy with standing too much yesterday and then sitting all evening without a footstool 🙄 I can only wear one pair of old shoes even my slip on trainers won't go on.  A quiet day other than my sister popping around for a hour after lunch.

Even though it was hot lunchtime I fancied the can of H tomato soup I found so had it with slice of cheese on toast.

M&S chicken shawarma brought in the Ocardo flash sale for dinner in a wrap with salad, very spicy I don't think I would buy it full price but would if I saw it YS

Sunny & warm, ideal Bank Holiday weather, unless jammed on beach or sat in traffic at B & Q.

Sleeping much better lately, since nights are cooler & my back improved.

Made fresh loaf overnight in BM, ready & cooling for lunchtime

    Lunch, tuna / may sarnie
Dinner, salmon fillet, defrosting, with boiled new spuds & salad bits

    Good morning everyone,
Hope the swelling comes down soon Brambling.
Very overcast here but dry and a pleasant temperature.
Not much planned as my balance is still very iffy so another day of gentle pottering on the cards.
DS2 was back down the road for dinner so I made pork fajitas, LOs for lunch. Tonight I'm trying this recipe Buffalo chicken skewers with blue cheese salad and dip – recipe | Cook Up A Feast With Tesco Finest | The Guardian which we'll have with sweet potato wedges.

That’s not so good Brambling the swelling must be making it difficult for you to get out for your daily exercise.

Not much cfo yesterday apart from a bacon & fried egg softie for lunch then I just had fruit and picky bits later on.

Today is all about using up odds and ends before I get a delivery this week. Lunch was mini meatballs, salad, coleslaw and pickles. Tonight its a flatbread pizza with l/o pasta sauce, salami and assorted cheeses.

At the moment the swelling has decreased to the calves down which has made things a little easier, I managed to get my slip on trainers on first thing but only just and I couldn't walk in them.  I walked about twice as far today as previously (not planned!) and although I was tired and glad to see my front door I wasn't achy 🙂 I had been doing two or three short walks a day and this was doing it in one walk 🙄 I did hold off doing more afterwards. It was quite hot but I only walked a little over a mile.

I caught up on some sewing this afternoon when allowed by his lordship

Bacon and tomato roll for lunch (no lettuce).  Salmon quiche for dinner with new potatoes and green vegetables

Nice sunny morning, completed main task of the day by putting my garden waste wheelie bin out for tomorrow, thought I'd do it while I'm feeling fit and my back is working.

    Lunch, sandwich, filling TBD
Dinner, fried coley, to be defrosted, oven chips & frozen peas. A freezer make space day

    Good morning everyone,
Sunny and warm here. It's not a BH here but DS2 is off as technically he's based in Newcastle so gets the English holidays.
Garden stones have just been delivered.  :)
I'm still very unsteady definitely a flare up so it will go when it's ready.
Yesterday's buffalo chicken was very good, there's LOs for lunch. I'm being well chooked today as trying this tonight Senegalese-style chicken yassa | Healthy Recipe | WW UK after seeing mentioned on another thread.
