Finished work for just over a week today but all went smoothly 🙃

End of the Spanish chicken with sweetcorn and mayo in a pitta for lunch with cherry tomatoes on the side.

Plans to see a friend tonight got cancelled so scavenged in M&S for chicken Kiev which I had with new potatoes and green veg.

    Had a G&T to celebrate holidays 🍸

I felt tired today so other than my walks not a lot has been done.  My sister dropped in for a cuppa this evening and put my wheelie bin out.

I used the last of the tuna mayo with added spring onion and chopped red pepper in a sandwich for lunch.

I wasn't that hungry tonight so just had an apple with cheese and crackers and some berries for dinner

    Good morning everyone,
    Sunny but cooler here today.
Still not feeling 100% so another gentle day but definitely on the mend just need my balance to stop playing silly beggars!
August for various reasons has been a very spendy month so will need to do some money shuffling next pay day. DS2 has just ordered much needed new stones for the front, it's a deceptively big area to cover, and thankfully that should pretty much be the last of the big garden outlays for this year.
LO tandoori style chicken and salad for lunch. Usual Friday tbc for dinner.

I didn't have any breakfast before I went out so I bought a sandwich from Waitrose on the way home. It feels much cooler. My kitchen is only 18.

Hope you have an enjoyable break JKS, shame the weather has changed a bit but selfishly I’m happy with the drop in temp.

Now that the schools are back I’ve noticed that the clothes shops are putting out their autumnal ranges so I had a mooch around and got myself a long sleeve blouse and a cardi, the purchase also brought a 15% off next purchase so I’ll be going back soon.

Lunch was last night’s leftovers and tonight from the freezer I’ll use up the last piece of broccoli & stilton quiche, the last handful of oven chips and some coleslaw.

Thanks. I’m off somewhere warm 😉

Very lazy day after not sleeping very well. I have started organising for going away including a pile of ironing and writing a list!

Houmous, carrot sticks, pitta, olives and cheese for lunch.

Just made Thai red prawn and green bean curry with noodles 😋

Have a good holiday JKS 🙂

A friend popped around this morning and stayed for a bacon sandwich lunch.

i was invited to book my flu jab which I had to do within the next 7 days, so that's done for the beginning of October.  It seems winter is on its way!

it was my nephew's birthday today so I went to my sister for a Chinese takeaway, I hunted out the Rennie just in case I have regrets in the middle of the night 🫣 little one was determined daddy was 40 so he had a 40th birthday card and balloon, he's 32!!

Sunny, but thankfully cooler. Certainly sleeping better with less heat, and of course a better back.

Blimey, time flies by, doesn't it? Not had my reminder yet. Last time it was done at same time as Covid, so maybe the same this year?

Lunch, another cheese & onion bap
Dinner, pork loin chop with boiled new spuds & salad

    Good morning everyone,
    Enjoy your holiday JKS.
    Cloudy and cool here.
Lurgy continues to linger, it's a low grade but sticky one......
DS2 is off to help DS1 and DIL2B with their kitchen refurb, it's nearly done now thankfully. He's had a busy week off and very kindly gave the greenhouse a much needed sort out yesterday as it's just beyond me just now.
We are getting a steady but not overwhelming flow of toms and cues though some of the plants are clearly dying back now.
I roasted a chicken leg with veg and spuds last night and there's chook LO for lunch. Tonight is tbc depending on whether DS2 eats here or in Glasgow.

I just went to book my hair appointment for next week and then I went to the local second hand furniture store to look for a "new" TV unit for my bedroom. I found one for £10 so that was lucky. I had granary toast with mushroom pâté when I got home.
