Hope your neck feels better Caronc. I have a blister on my foot that I didn't realise I had.
I discovered a new physio place close to my house that I might try. I'm just getting my hair done. I bought a fruit salad and a chickpea burrito from Tesco for my brunch.2025 GOALS

No rain here, wish it would rain to save me lugging water.Just dull & breezy todayOuch, with your neck Caron, hope if mends soon, I imagine it's very awkward and painful thoughAsda delivery arrived, two subs, both harmless, but I had to send mushrooms back though.Use By was too close [Friday] and I was trying posh organic ones, so, at the price, didn't want to find them manky in a day or two.Lunch, pate, ploughman styleDinner, pork loin chop + salad + HM potato saladNumerus non sum1

I hope your neck has eased Caronc
We had heavy rain for about half hour this morning and then a cooler day, no complaints from me 🙂
I've been sitting listening to a fox bark for the last half hour, if it had been spring I would have blamed hormones 😁
Scrambled egg on toast for lunch. I marinated some duck breast strips for dinner and stirred fried with red pepper and onion. Dinner was the duck, soba noodles and tenderstem broccoli. Added benefits of emptying three bottles for the marinade and the soba noodles. There are LOs

A bit of heavy rain for a few minutes, but nowhere near enough. It's a start though.Picked more pears this morning, I'm having ripening troubles, they go manky without showing any ripening signs. First time in ten years I’ve ever had a crop off this tree, so a bit trail & error.I stewed some, and they are excellent, it's trying to catch them before they go over that is the problem.Made fresh loaf in BM earlier, sandwich for lunch, filling TBDDinner, pork loin chop + salad bitsNumerus non sum1

Good morning everyone,
Thanks for the good wishes re my neck. Thankfully it has eased a good bit and I had better if not wonderful sleep. I have social stuff this weekend but both things are low key so I think I'll manage okay. I felt as though I spent yesterday doing exercises to either help my balance or ease my neck. Hector was quite bemused!
I don't think the rain has stopped since the early hours. I will need to venture out to water the greenhouse at some point but that will be it I think.
Ended up with a change of plans for dinner yesterday after discovering a pack of bacon on it's use by date so I cooked the pack and used some to make JOs bacon, pea and mint pasta. There's LOs of that for lunch. The sausages I'd defrosted intending to make pasta yesterday we'll have tonight with beans, mushrooms and HM wedges.1 -
A touch of a red sky this morning and the forecasters warning of thundery downpours this afternoon so I headed out early to mooch around the clothes shops and picked up some “autumnal” gear
An easy lunch of mini pork pie, salad and l/o salsa.
I picked up tesco’s september magazine last time I was in the store and there are a few recipes that I like the look of and intend trying out. Tonight its this one

I had therapy this morning and then I bought some sunglasses from an optician as the ones from other shops always slip down. The man adjusted them for me. I got the meal deal at Waitrose, a sandwich, a fruit salad and a kombucha drink. It started pouring with rain as soon as I got indoors.2025 GOALS

Very welcome overnight rain for the garden, at long last enough to water the plants. Sun's out now, so all turned out well.Stewed a lot of my apples first thing, they are not keepers so need to be frozen. I may make a crumble for the weekend once i sort out the freezing.I still have the pears to stew as well.Lunch, I'm going to try the pears, if OK then ploughman style with pears.Dinner, use up frozen Pukka pie & make some mashNumerus non sum1
