A lovely sunny and warm day here too, I woke up early and had my cuppa watching a beautiful sunrise.

I love the sound of that chicken Caronc, I have all the ingredients in so will try it sometime this week  :)

Lunch today is pasta salad with salami and broad beans.

Tonight, I'll use up the last of the chicken pie thats in the freezer with some new potatoes and veg.

I agree the chicken recipe looks good, other than lines I have the ingredients so one to bookmark once I have my cooking mojo back.

I hope the wonkey donkey is calming down Caronc and is ready to return to the stable  <3

Another warm day, my sister was sending photos from the beach all day, she's borrowing her friends beach hut this week.

I did my walk this morning and a friend cycled pass me as I turned into my close, we had a nice cuppa and catch up for a couple of hours.

Beans on toast for lunch then a quick lie down ended up being most of the afternoon, I woke out of sorts but obviously needed the sleep. Hopefully I will sleep when I go to bed

Easy dinner of half a part baked olive ciabatta as a sliced tomatoes, Mozzarella and red pesto sandwich 😋

Very dull, just right for rain, except none around.

For a change, I had fish Fs for breakfast, just seemed right for this weather.

Lunch, use up LO Tuna Mayo in a sandwich.
Dinner, the other piece of frozen coley, AF frozen chips & frozen peas.

    An unplanned very fishy day

    Good morning everyone,
Unfortunately wonky donkey is still kicking quite strongly, I'm okay in myself just really unsteady.
Voluntary admin to do today and my sis is coming for dinner but apart from that it will be a quiet one.
Senegalese style chicken was very good though I opted to use an ordinary chilli as I'm don't like it too spicy. I made the full recipe so there's two portions to freeze for another meal. Salad bits for lunch. Dinner tonight is one of the Lidl Greek pies with salad and new potatoes.

Don't think I would use the scotch bonnet either, I have a couple of birdseye chillies in the freezer and a couple of ordinary ones in the fruit bowl waiting to be used.

Supermarket delivery arrived early, only one item not available sadly - gastro triple cooked chips - was to be a one off purchase for a change, never mind helps keep the diet a bit healthier  ;)

Lunch was a repeat of yesterday’s salad.

Tonight is something I haven't made in ages, liver and bacon casserole which I’ll have with new potatoes and cauliflower.

Expensive day today, car went in for service, MOT and what was probably the most expensive bulb cover for the light over the number plate! They did come and pick it up and return it which has gone up as well  :| at least no extras and as it's it first MOT there were no faults. They even washed away the cobwebs gathering around wing mirrors 🙂

I had rather a sleepless night not helped by sleeping the afternoon away yesterday, I'm still looking for that elusive (allowed) comfortable sleeping position !

I found a tin of mackerel in tomato and chilli sauce which needed using so lunch was that over some rice.  Cheese and tomato pizza with added vegetables, cheese and LO chicken for dinner.

i found two tins of corned beef in my cupboard rummage so my have to add potatoes to the shop to make a hash🤔

I made a monster courgette risotto last night. It was very nice but not sure I fancy it for days so I think I’m going to freeze it. It’s payday tomorrow, unsure what I will have for dinner tonight but I have a bit of cash left over so can get something I fancy later.

    Good morning everyone,
My we've had some horrendous rain showers over the past 24 hours. Was raining so hard at one point yesterday evening that it sounded like hailstones.
Balance is still very iffy and to add insult to injury I very painfully cricked my neck cleaning my teeth at bedtime. How on earth does that even happen?! Thankfully it's eased a bit but I've had very little sleep. A nap is definitely on the cards this afternoon. Will need to make an effort to move about more today before other joints seize up!
Greek style minced beef pie was very nice there's a slice LO which DS2 and I will share for lunch with some salad. JO's sausage pasta for dinner tonight.

Ouch Caronc that's horrible, in the past I have done my neck just with a sneeze, hope it eases soon.

We had some much needed rain yesterday afternoon too and a noticeable drop in temp during the night but we’re back to sunshine and pleasantly warm today.

Catching up on a few household chores this morning then I’ll do a review of the finances, with a savings account maturing in Sept I need to consider where I might move it to.

Lunch - scotch egg, salad & pickles

Dinner - baked potato with chilli & cheese and a tomato & sweetcorn salsa.
